Oldrambler and sidelinedoc, you are both right. Raceland could have a very good team this season...

I’ve been hearing from some of the Ram faithful that this is the best team to ever come through the school. They must be really special because there have been some very good teams.

I have said several times that this team has the potential to be the best team in Raceland history, but like I said in another thread that can only be determined after the season is over. They do have the potential, but if they want that title they will have to execute and prove it.

^ I appreciate the caution and humbleness – but they are really loaded aren’t they? ;)

They are "Really Loaded" with potential, they haven't proved anything yet.;)

Ram is so right. We are all wishing the absolute best for them but all this talk is exactly what it is talk.

We have said it so many times in different years. Take one ballgame at a time. Any team can be having the best game of their season on the day you play them.

The only thing I have noticed is, when one makes a mistake its hard for that player to shake it off. There are a few that are extremely hard on themselves. That is great if you do it in the right way and come back out with confidence that the mistake wont be repeated.

Too much build up is not a good thing. Some of the boys have said directly they are uncomfortable with the hype. I am also calling on all fans and parents in the stands please be supportive and not overly negative of a player. These are our boys and someones son.

I guess that was my introduction speach for this season.

:thumb: This sums it all up very well and as you said earlier and I have been preaching all along.....Ram players....."Talk is cheap, go out and prove it on the field."

I think this will be a good indication of how Raceland will play this year.....will they play with dominance or will they play to the level of their competition. If they play at the high level that they are capable, then great things can happen. They are loaded with talent and experience.

Good point! I agree.

Welcome to BGP sidelinedoc. Lets hope this team plays to its potential. I hope that we will not be seeing alot of you in the office just on the sidelines.

I heard this will be played in real game format for 3 quarters. Any truth to that? Also, will it be mostly starters or just a huge mix. I'd like to see Raceland play, but I don't want to go watch a JV game when I could go watch Ashland/Mason Co. or Ironton/Wheelersburg.

I think some Ram fans are trying to hide their light under a bushel, so to speak. It seems they want to keep their teams' talent a secret. :sssh:

While a few others are wiling to give us clues.

I think the Tomcats had better be on their guard - These Rams are loaded with talent and their fans are tricky. :D

The scrimmage will be in a real game format for three regulaion quarters. I can't tell you who Coach Vanderhoof is going to play and for how long. But, I would be surprised if the starters do not play at least the first two quarters.

No secrets, just more grounded then some.

The Tomcats should be on guard for every game, just like the "Unproven Rams". I think Coach Hart is the tricky one, we know very little about the 2008 Ashland team.:D
