August 22, 200818 yr I thought they were gonna blow that Volleyball match. Yea but they didn't. When you look at all the controversey this team has had to deal with, pretty much right from the get go. AMAZING that they've made it to where they are now. A gold for them could be one of the other TRUELY AMAZING OLYMPIC STORIES.:dancingpa

I think they had a decent shot, but with everything that went on with the Coach's father in law being murdered in Beijing, just a HORRIBLY, sad/cool story. Definitely wish things would've played out differently for everyone involved, specifically w/out the loss of life which was completely unnecessary. Just nice to see the coach getting to coach his team for gold considering everything that all of them have had to endure.

BUt recently beat Brazil who's ranked 1st and won a big tournament. The big deal like someone already said is coming back focused after tragedy. Same thing for the women. Some were teammates of the girls who's parents were attacked.
August 22, 200818 yr Looks like China is just the same old Communist place that it always has been. I can't beleive that they are only investigating the one girls. Several of them did not pass the look test concerning their age. The IOC said this morning that they had no choice but to accept China's "official" documents and that the girls' parents were all upset about the world questioning their girls' ages. So it looks like the issue may be dead.:irked: If they stripped He of her medals (that sounds funny!) then Nastia would get the uneven bars gold and the women would get the team gold.
