Then you haven't read all of the reports because Favre did no favors for the Packers by wanting to unretire after retiring, supposedly for good, and giving that big speech and everything.

I agree with you for the most part. I will say that Favre has to be partly to blame bc of the flip/flop. JMO though you are right about Thompson wanting him out, imo he wanted him out a couple of years ago. I wish the Packers well but Mr. Thompson, be careful what you wished for...:sssh:

 

As I have said before, I will remain a Packer fan and a Favre fan.

I honestly think that Ted really just wants Favre to retire and stay retired... They want to move on and Favre does and then doesn't...It's not fair to the organization...

 

I would rather see Favre stay retired if he wasn't going to play for the Packers.

All I was saying is that with the team the Pack has returning and were an OT away from the Super Bowl last season and Favre wants to come back, who is the best to lead that team for another run at it this season? I think that is obvious.

IMO Thompson thought more of his pride than his team.

 

I will say that I beleive that A. Rodgers may very well be a good NFL qb someday, as a Packer fan I hope that it is soon.

I also think that Rodgers has handled this entire thing with class.:thumb:

Pushed in too a bad situation, then realizing that you're hand was forced, because you didn't want to play for another team. Then to realize it was a bunch of BS, and that you've got the desire, and most of all the ability(which isn't disputable) to play. Then not play nice when they throw all the blame on you and your "selfishness". Yea right, that's bull, and the organizations rescent actions have proven that....

Yes I would want him. He brings a fire and enthusiasm for the game to the locker room along with his cannon arm.

 

As far as his situation in Green Bay, I believe that both parties are partially at fault here. This may be the best move for both considering what all has gone on in GB. Ted Thompson has to hope and pray that Rodgers delivers. If he doesn't and Favre has a better year, Packers fans will be ticked. However, if Rodgers delivers and Favre doesn't, Thompson looks like a genius.

 

Personally, I hope both are successful then the controversy just fades away. As a casual fan of both teams, I hope they both do well so the NFL can just focus on football.
