August 5, 200818 yr I think Parra said something to the effect of a Chris Berman refrain "Now coming to the plate, Prince -I wish I was a better- Fielder".

August 5, 200818 yr I'll assume and guessing here, but a comment about let's score some runs might have not gone over well, with the position players and Fielder. On the other hand, someone else might have started it. I did see Parra throw his jacket, so perhaps he was upset and commented, about being taken out of the game and Fielder addressed it.
August 5, 200818 yr In the Milwaukee paper speculation was that Fielder told the pitcher to remain on the bench while the Brew Crew batted before he headed to the lockerroom.
August 5, 200818 yr I think it may have been over Fielder's "range" on the groundball that got through that inning.
August 5, 200818 yr Incorrect. A short-term roommate of mine at WKU was also a fat vegetarian. Strangest thing I've ever seen. Mind boggling...
August 5, 200818 yr Mind bottling. That was what I thought when I read his post:lol: Great minds think alike:thumb:
August 5, 200818 yr So going into tonight's game the Brewers have 10 straight against teams that are in last place. Now if the Brewers manage to go 7-3 in that stretch, everyone will say it's because the fight brought the team together. A joke and I'm going to enjoy watching this team lose the last two months of the season. I won't count them out yet, BUT I don't have a whole lot of faith in teams that live and die by the long ball. I'm hoping the Cards win the Wild Card, nothing I'd love to see more than the Brewers wasting all that money on CC to not even make the playoffs:lol: and then Cuban coming in and signing him as a FA:thumb:
August 5, 200818 yr I'm shocked that Fielder didn't get some kind of fine or something for his outrageous behavior at the end of the final Cubs game--holding up the game after being thrown out and screaming "horse poop" at Doug Eddings.

August 5, 200818 yr They were talking on sportscenter how this may help them. If anything fighting is only going to hurt the team. I strongly believe they have no shot at making the playoffs now. Team chemistry is a must for any championship.
August 5, 200818 yr It didn't seem to hurt the Cubs when Zambrano and Barrett went off in the dugout. Of course, Barrett left town soon afterwards but if anything, it sparked them. When Rob Dibble and Lou Pineilla tussled in the clubhouse before a game in 1992, the Reds won their next eight games.
