August 3, 200818 yr Couldn't this situation, been handled long ago by both Favre and the Packers. Both are blaming the other and dividing fans. This is a fiasco and just taking away, from the other teams getting ready for this season. All of this, for what....1 more season.
August 3, 200818 yr YES! Yeh it could have been resolved a long time ago. The Packers could have chosen to welcome him or cut him free. They have ridden the fence and made this whole thing get ugly. More important news for the Packers, Ryan Grant signed a deal yesterday.

The blame is not entirely on them...Maybe Favre should have just stayed retired or said from the get go that he wanted to play..He lead them on the whole time!

The Packers were on their way to talk to him, and he cancelled the meeting and said he'd changed his mind. The Packers got on with business and drafted to rookies, and made Aaron Rodgers the starter. Right before the season starts, Favre changes his mind again. The situation is squarely in Favres lap. The Packers had to to what they had to do. They had a team to get ready for the season.
August 3, 200818 yr The position will now be open to all the QBs. He reports on Monday and on the field Tuesday. Will they carry 4 QBs? I feel for Matt and Brian.
August 3, 200818 yr I love Farve and I am a fan of the Packers. I don't think either is totally innocent but I place more of the blame on T. Thompson and the Packers. If they let him into camp and then trade him then get ready for a major uproar especially if he finishes ahead of them.
August 3, 200818 yr Enough already. A way overdone story in the national sports media. Waaaaayyyyy overdone.

I agree with you once again stick. :thumb: The only thing that I really have to say is what I have said all along, I am a Brett Favre and Packer fan and will remain both. "IF" Favre plays this season then I hope that it is in Green Bay, would be tough to see him in any other uniform. I would rather see him take the marketing package and stay retired as to see him play anywhere else but if he does then I will still enjoy watching him play.
