Yeah.... if it had been in my pocket!!

I dunno, I don't think I'm fond of the thought of ColonelCrazy digging thru my pockets, especially if I'm still wearing the pants.:D

Sure, it could have been me that found $20. LOL

My buddy here at work found a US Savings bond in his glove box all crumpled that was given to him by his Grandmother 8 yrs ago. He thought it was worth maybe $50.

Took it to the bank branch and they cashed it for $700. I said, your buying lunch today.

When I was younger and money was not as important as it is today, I would go weeks sometimes without cashing my checks from work. I remember one time I went about 4 months and was digging around in my wallet and found a $300 check from work. It was awesome.

Good thing you did, don't they normally go void after 180 days?

I have no idea.

Had this happen to me once. Got a check back for around $1000 after closing on a new home (think it has something to do with excess escrow amounts or something like that), stuck it in the back of my desk drawer (why I have no idea) and promptly forgot about it. Found it over six months later and it had expired and had to have the title company to re-issue me another one. Still pretty darn cool to come upon a check like this that I had long since forgotten about. :ylsuper:

Not to imply that I live a life where I can routinely misplace $1000 checks and not notice . . . . .

Actually, when I did your laundry for you, I put it in there as a joke. I guess the joke worked, so, now you owe me 20 bucks! LOL

When I was working at an organization right after college, I was given a lunch allowance. I would never spend it all and just put it in my desk just in case I was needed to go to a more expensive place to eat. I would rather spend my time catching up on paper work than going out to eat, so, I would grab a burger. Well, one day I decided to clean out my desk. I made a stack of money, invoices, etc....when I counted the money, I was shocked. I even tried to give it back to the company and was told no, that was mine to keep. (I would get 50 in cash a week)....anyway, I ended up with 2,000. PH and I purchased some needed items with that!

Well, I was putting $50 per week in your work desk as a joke.

Obviously, from reading your post, I can tell the joke worked. So, I'll go ahead and mail you my $20 and you can go ahead and mail me my $2,000.

It's nice doing business with the PH family! :D

Everybody twist! (2,000 times) ;)
