July 27, 200818 yr 4 games in Milwaukee starting tomorrow, there are still a long 2 months left in the season, but this is going to be fun to watch.
July 27, 200818 yr Nice to see Soriano get his swing back today, and an absolutely AWESOME catch by Edmonds to win the game!
July 27, 200818 yr Author What did the Cubs give up, if anything, for Edmonds? Not a thing, he cleared waivers and the Cubs signed him to a 1 year deal, the Cubs were only responsible to pay him the league minimum. It was a no lose situation and it has paid off big time so far.

July 27, 200818 yr Pro rated league min. at that I'm curious to see if they try and bring him back next year
July 28, 200818 yr Nice to see Soriano get his swing back today, and an absolutely AWESOME catch by Edmonds to win the game! Edmonds has been Edmonds all season long for Chicago. Why he was not so in San Diego is beyond me, but oh how I love how he must love the NL Central.
July 29, 200818 yr Cubs take game 1 from the Brew Crew--even after Howry's best efforts to lose it. Marmol was back to his nasty self in the save.
July 29, 200818 yr Get rid of Howry for crying out loud!!! Reminds of Latroy Hawkins! Big win tonight! Great to steal one while CC was pitching, I think we can take 3 of 4
July 29, 200818 yr Howry's nickname is The Arsonist. Everytime he comes into the game, he throws gas on the fire.

July 29, 200818 yr Anyone else think something besides a blister is wrong with Wood? I've never had a blister take more than a few days to heal
July 29, 200818 yr Author Anyone else think something besides a blister is wrong with Wood? I've never had a blister take more than a few days to heal With his injury history, nothing would surprise me. They said on the Chicago site that he threw with a pad over it today and it was fine, when he took the pad off, he struggled. He will miss the entire Brewers series. I was on pins and needles the whole game, just a huge, huge, huge win to start this series. I think the Brewers are pitching/pushing Sabathia way too much. I know some people think pitch counts are crap, but I have to wonder if he is going to be fresh come September. Now the Cubs roll out the horses the next 3 games, can't wait to see how it plays out.

Nothing extraordinarily high ...
