August 1, 200818 yr Author Marquis sucks While I would agree he is the weakest link in the staff, he pitched 6 innings today and only gave up 3 earned. The offense had several chances with runners in scoring position and just couldn't get that big hit. No big deal, unless they lose tomorrow and then we can all start to panic.

August 1, 200818 yr Nope, they need to move him, a rotation of Big Z, Harden, Dempster, Lilly, and Marshall or Hill (if he gets his head right) would suit me just fine next year
August 2, 200818 yr Nope, they need to move him, a rotation of Big Z, Harden, Dempster, Lilly, and Marshall or Hill (if he gets his head right) would suit me just fine next year Or even Samardzija , maybe. His first ever relief appearances have came since he was called up, normally a starter.
August 3, 200818 yr Author Good win today, 21 over .500 Yep, Lilly pitches into the 7th and even Howry is able to pitch a scoreless 8th. Granted, Pirates did have runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out, BUT at least Howry created problems and then got out of it.
August 3, 200818 yr He probably didnt forget anything...Probably just another one of those "I'm from KY, never been north of Cincinatti, life long Red Sox fan" That just so happened to start loving the Red Sox after they won their first World Series Try dating back to Yaz, Evans, Rice, and Remy. I've been to dozens of Red Sox games. At Fenway. Many more when they visit NL Parks or come to Cleveland. Speaking of bandwagons, did you become a Cubs fan in 2003 or do you date back to Sandberg and Maddux in 1989? Would you recognize who Keith Moreland, Steve Trout, and Barry Foote are? Shall we keep playing?

Shall we keep playing? Are you serious, JimmyJack? You do realize the nature of a bandwagoner is to follow a team after they start winning? Why on earth do you think anyone would choose to follow the Cubs just because? Sadism, maybe? In case you've forgotten, 2003 was not exactly the ending that Cubs fans have been hoping for. If I was looking for a team in '03, I would sure as heck have changed teams after October! 2004-2006 was enough to make even die-hard fans want to leave the North Side. No, I can speak for Rocket that he is not a bandwagon fan. I dare say none of we Cubs fans on this site are bandwagon fans. :thumb:
August 3, 200818 yr I prefer to be called psycho And no, my days as a Cub fan date back to 86 when I started collecting Baseball cards and traded every card I had for nothing but Cub cards, why, I dunno.... But here I am 22 years later...

And Jimmy my remarks were more along of the lines of your behavior which is like MOST Bandwaggon Red Sox fans with there pompus attitude because they finally won a World Series, congrats, and if you don't like the track the Cubs thread, maybe you should stay out and go start your own Red Sox thread, just a thought...
