July 6, 200818 yr And when Fogg goes out in his next start and only lasts 3 innings, will you say that then? He is awful and while Thompson struggled at times in his starts, I would rather find out if he has what it takes going into next year as opposed to watching Fogg get lit up again. He's the number five starter.....you dont expect him to go out and throw a shutout. He's proven that he can keep teams in the game if he is given the chance.

I understand that, but with that said, Fogg has started 5 games this year: 4 innings, 6 earned runs 5 innings, 3 runs, 1 earned 2 innings, 9 earned runs 3 and 1/3 innings, 6 earned runs 6 innings, 1 earned run He has pitched relief 7 times, in 3 of those appearances, he has given up runs. 2, 2 and 5. He is better as a relief pitcher, because he will not keep the Reds in the game as a long term starter.

He has 1 less career win than Bronson. You never gave the guy a chance fromt he start. He was bad at first but he was hurt. He looks ok to me right now.T hompson has the stuff he just needs to work on it some more. I think he will be ready by next year.

I will be happy to give him credit if he strings some great starts together and be happy to eat whatever crow is served my way. With that said, I fully expect him to get shelled if he starts a game on the next road trip.

I say give him 5 more starts and let's see how it goes. Josh Fogg has established himself as a major league pitcher and is worth giving a shot.
July 6, 200818 yr Not to mention Dunn has hit about 5 to the wall the last 3 games. You knew he was going to get one.
July 6, 200818 yr Meaningless 3 run shot! Can I type "Meaningless" every time he Ks with men on? If so, I'm posting more than you:D
July 6, 200818 yr I thought Griffey was going to have enough votes to start? Who beat him out? I missed it.
