June 28, 200818 yr Well, if I may play devils advocate for a minute. How was she to know if they were armed or not just because they didn't have weapon in hand in the heat of the moment? It's a judgment call. Don't approach someone in what can be perceived as a threatening manner and there likely wouldn't be an altercation. How do we know the motorcyclist is telling the truth? Why is it she has "anger issues" because she was involved in an altercation with another spectator and was fearful of someone approaching her in a threatening manner? Now, all that being said, you may be completely right about her, but that's up to the courts to decide. Maybe because it has happened multiple times?
June 28, 200818 yr No offense, but you come off as someone with zero knowledge about guns and gun owners. There are a lot of very intelligent people who carry weapons in this country. I will carry a weapon eventually ( I do not at this point because I can't afford the license ). I'm sure you are very good with your weapon and very smart with it. However there are a lot of stupid people who should not be allowed to have a weapon. I'm not sure I would classify America's gun owners like Math would though.
June 28, 200818 yr My question is this? If she was at a stop light and the biker approached her, why not just drive away? It's not hard to do. Lock the doors, and make a right turn. I think shooting was an over reaction.
June 28, 200818 yr Maybe because it has happened multiple times? If she had been mugged three times, would it have been her fault?
June 28, 200818 yr If she had been mugged three times, would it have been her fault? She wasn't mugged nor was she about to be mugged. People have approached me many times in what could be considered an "aggressive" manner and I never thought about shooting any of them.

People have approached me many times in what could be considered an "aggressive" manner and I never thought about shooting any of them. She only fired her gun once. In my entire life, I have never had anybody angrily approached me in a parked vehicle. I don't think that any of us have enough facts to pass judgment on her. Do you?

I don't think that any of us have enough facts to pass judgment on her. Do you? I think the fact that she has shot one person and pulled a gun on another is scary. I've never even considered pulling my gun on anyone. After two or three instances you have to start believing it isn't the other people that is the problem... I do not believe after reading the first post that she is crazy. I don't believe she is trying to kill innocent people. I think she is just a little too quick to pull out the gun.

I don't believe she is trying to kill innocent people. I think she is just a little too quick to pull out the gun. A few weeks ago, a teenage driver became enraged at an elderly woman for driving too slowly, cut her off, dragged her from her car, and delivered a severe beating that resulted in multiple fractured bones. This happened in a fairly nice neighborhood on a four-lane street. Sometimes normal people have multiple encounters with crazy people and the fact that this woman has possibly been involved with three crazy people does not necessarily mean that she is at fault.
June 28, 200818 yr The guy in Henderson must have just had too many negative encounters with bosses, it was such a good thing that his rights to carry had not been rstricted in any way.
June 28, 200818 yr I can see a possible pattern here with this lady, and I agree that her CC permit should be revoked until this case is solved, as well as her permit being permanently being revoked. Since she has a recent history of these types of altercations on the road, there seems to be something to it "Road Rage". What type of driver is she? We don't know, but it looks like she possibly has problems driving. The first incident I see as she handled properly IF she thought she was being threatened, just wave the gun around, show it, whatever to get the person to back off. Could it be that she did not see a motorist from a car approaching her, but a motorcyclist, maybe have it in their mind that all or most are punks or trouble. Did she see this? Why didn't she just wave the gun around like the last time? The ONLY way I would take her side in this is IF, the motorcyclist physically tried to open the door of her car, and after her showing the gun to him, and her seeing at least at that time that he was unarmed, that he still tried to open the door. But I don't see that here, at least yet, but to say that this guy, or anyone does not have the right to walk up to a car and give a piece of your mind is wrong, maybe not the best thing to do in the situation, but you do have that right. You do not have the right to shoot anyone who is approaching you unless your life is in jeopardy. I am guessing when it's all said and done she will be charged as well as sued, and then have her permit taken away for good. For the record, I agree that people have the right to have a CC permit, and have been thinking of getting one myself, as it's a new world out there, but I still think she did not handle this the right way.
June 28, 200818 yr The guy in Henderson must have just had too many negative encounters with bosses, it was such a good thing that his rights to carry had not been rstricted in any way. Do you know they weren't? I haven't seen anything saying if he was carrying legally or not.
June 29, 200818 yr Maybe because it has happened multiple times?Could be, I'd have to see the police reports before I could say one way or the other. I think shooting was an over reaction. :lol:Maybe she couldn't, could have been a car in front of and behind her. I'll wait to see how this plays out in court, she may have very well been within her rights or she may just be a loose cannon.

Actually, like most political issues, I'd say our views on this issue are pretty much aligned also.I use satire and humor to characterize and magnify the silly, fringe elements of our society. There are many, many responsible, sane gun owners(I don't think this woman was one of them) who take the responsibility of gun ownership seriously. But controls and restrictions on gun ownership are absolutley needed.
June 29, 200818 yr No offense, but you come off as someone with zero knowledge about guns and gun owners. Less than zero knowledge imo.
