IMO I believe he can go high D1. He is athletic, plays defense and can shoot. He may not be a starter first year (depending on where he goes), but I believe he will be able to play at that level.

After seeing him play in 5/3, State Tourney, Summer AAU Ball, and the Junior All-Stars he is a very athletic, talented D1 guard. Like Middleton, he is 6'3" but with his length and athleticism plays at about 6'4" or 6'5". He can jump, rebound, handle the ball in full court pressure, and create for himself good shots. Also, a very good outside shooter including along the three point line. His quickness and jumping ability allow him to drive into the lane and get a good 10-12 footer at will despite good defense and folks running at him.

Pretty nice player...seems to have great makeup...just don't see him as being a high major guy if he is projecting as a PG. Could probably play off guard at the mid-major level.

I'd say if you're only using seniors for two top 10 lists they look good, but not if you're including everyone in the state. Johnson and Pittman of Holmes are much better than you're giving them credit for.

You certainly didn't make myself angry. I personally thought the list looked pretty solid. Just saying there may be a little too much talent to really give a top 10 statewide. Maybe by class, but not overall. I agree with the statement of there being probably 30-40 kids who could make a legitimate case for being top 10-15.

 

BUT, I just didn't agree with you putting McFarland ahead of any of the Holmes kids. He is a nice player but not of the same caliber as Housley, Johnson Brothers, or Pittman.

I feel Vee Sanford's weakness as a major recruit is the fact that he is a poor passer from the point guard position.

 

I might should rephrase that.........he hasn't shown he is a willingful passer, even on a team with the likes of Novosel, Smart, and Stewart.
