He would have gotten a big contract in LA....All I've heard for the past two days is how great of a person he is, and what a stand up guy he was...What a bunch of bull. I bet Baron Davis is feeling pretty low right now....I wonder if the Clipp go after Josh Smith?
July 9, 200818 yr Author Pretty Laughable IMO...It's the East for one. If you have Brand, Miller, and AI#2 then they will be a pretty good team..Considering they made the playoffs last year as the 7 seed and almost beat Detroit I think they'll be better this year with Brand. He adds scoring and an inside presence which will help in trying to get Dalembaret (sp?) some easy looks. Of course they will be better but that's not saying to much. Like you said, it's the east for one. And just because they "almost" beat Detroit in one series, that means what? They play 82+ games in the NBA & just because they "almost" won a 7 game series (losing 4 games to 2) that means nothing.

Within 24 hours, L.A. responded on the first day of free agency by reaching a verbal agreement with Davis in what easily ranks as the biggest free-agent coup in Clippers history. Brand told ESPN.com on June 30 that his "intention is to stay" with the Clippers, while Falk spoke optimistically of Brand signing a deal to "finish his career with the Clippers" if the team could make another significant personnel acquisition or two. ESPN.com reported late last week that Davis was the player Brand specifically asked Clippers management to chase in June.
July 9, 200818 yr Davis hasn't actually signed with LA yet has he? Couldn't he just back out? Interesting point...Maybe HT can fill us in on the that.
