June 7, 200818 yr I look for the Lakers to get at least 2 at home in this 2-3-2 format, so if the Celts win Game 2, I think they will come back home up 3-2 and win the series. If the Lakers take Game 2, I think they come back to Boston up 3-2 and take the series. In other words, I like the Game 2 winner to win.
June 7, 200818 yr Did anyone else notice how amazing PJ Brown played? When he was in there, everytime Kobe Bryant decided to go strong to the basket when Brown was in there, he was waiting for him and bodying up to him on the penetration. He was a big key for the Celtics. Something else I pointed out before the series started was rebounding and the Celtics controlled the boards like I predicted. That being said its game 1 and the Lakers will bounce back in the series.

June 7, 200818 yr Wow, only 8 posts when the Lakers lose? Can't the Laker fans take a loss? Sorry I'm out of town on business!
June 7, 200818 yr He even said today that it was probably over dramatize and that if he would have just taken a couple more minutes he would have realized he was fine to get up and walk off the floor alone. But he didn't wait a few more minutes. He was in pain, and went to the locker room because of the pain. He came back out when he felt better, and played well. He didn't fall to the floor and think "Man, how cool would it be if I acted like I was seriously injured, then went to the locker room only to come back and knock down some huge shots.".

They were the ones that made the decision to carry him to the locker room.
June 7, 200818 yr I expected Boston to win the first game. With both teams being off for a week, I expected them to be a little off, and that is a big advantage for the home team, IMO. With both teams not being sharp, it's much easier for the home team to find it's rhythm, feed off the crowd and make shots on it's home court. The Lakers were just a little off all night...I can't count how many shots they had rim out. I think Kobe got frustrated and made some mistakes down the stretch, while Boston made more plays to win the game. With a game under their belts, I think the Lakers will be a little sharper Sunday. I still expect them to win game two and finish this series in Los Angeles. So, I guess we'll see...

I do expect Kobe Bryant to play better and be more accurate, but it wasn't like he was able to get very many good looks. A lot of the shots he hit were really tough shots. And the big issue for the Lakers is rebounding. Celtics killed them on the boards.

The Lakers will be fine. They'll even the series tonight and fly back to Los Angeles for 3 games.
