May 31, 200818 yr I thought he done pretty well.. I woud imagine that you did, if you like Fogg that much we will tade you him for Chipper "Hooters" Jones. O.K., if you don't want that we will give Fogg to you for a case of Big League (bubble gum) Chew.
May 31, 200818 yr If you don't want to bring someone up, give Affeldt the ball when this spot comes up again. I would have Fogg cleaning out his locker as we speak. :thumb: On bye bye to Fogg, he imo should have never been here in the first place, he is pathetic.
May 31, 200818 yr Seriously? Arroyo's track record is much better than Fogg's. It actually isn't Arroyo has double digit wins 3 times in his career. He has more K's and his ERA is a little better, but it's not much better. He's being paid at least 11 times more than Fogg and his role is 2nd starter. Fogg is the 5th what do you expect? He would get between 8-12 wins and go 165+ innings if he would have been given all of his starts. That's all you can ask from a 5th starter if you're the Reds. Its tough to barely pitch in a month and expect to be good.
May 31, 200818 yr Glavine says he's impressed with Mazzone's work in the booth today. In the same context, I was impressed with Fogg's work on the mound today.
May 31, 200818 yr Seriously? Arroyo's track record is much better than Fogg's. Also, he's going pretty well now. But he hasn't been good since the first half of his first year. He was horrendous for the first 7 or so starts.

May 31, 200818 yr If the Braves do win tonight, they would have a chance to sweep the series. Fogg will be lucky to last 4 innings Saturday and who knows which version of Cueto will show up Sunday. Considering the pitchers going this weekend, the Reds have to win tonight. Not like I was going out on a limb by saying this before the series started, but Fogg is awful and has no business being on a Major League roster unless it's in Pittsburgh or Kansas City.

His ERA is more than half a run a game better, and Arroyo spent more years in the American League where they use the DH. Your point about the salary is even more of a reason that the Reds would give Arroyo more leeway in the rotation than they would Fogg.
May 31, 200818 yr Can't we all just get along? The way this game is going, the Reds will take the lead back in no time. Although I know that they are not involved with the Braves anymore (or at least not as much if any) I still cannot get past the fact of Ted and Jane:fight: and those two starting all of that America's team crap. I still refer to the Braves ans that "Hanoi Jane Hacker's". The more they lose the better I like it. I will say that I cannot help but like Chipper "Hooters" Jones though.
