NDA will probably have 5 seniors starting. Don't count them out too early. Good young players too.

Who are the young players that will contribute at the varsity level next season?

Ammerman (jr), Drees (jr) Oddonnel (jr), Knoll (jr), Woreland (jr), Hill (so), Pemberton (so),

All talentented players who will see Varsity time. Ammerman already played some good solid varsity minutes last season. Hill and Pemberton played JV as freshmen and all will compete for varsity minutes as well as the other jrs. 12 solid players is a luxury for any high school.

What were the records for JV & Freshman teams last year ? The talent pool compared to previous years seems a little weak. Did not see the JV & Freshman teams competing well in the end of year tournaments that they have historically dominated. For Notre Dame's sake, I hope they have a "strong" incoming Freshman class.

Not sure about Freshman team but the JV faired very well in their end of year tourney. Most of the season they played with 6 or 7 for one reason or another. I think they looked pretty good considering they had 5 soph and 2 freshman for the season. No juniors played JV remember.

No Juniors playing JV? Are the 5 juniors you listed above simply going to be bench players on the varsity next season?

NDA has to figure out how to spread the offense around a bit. They're easy to guard now if you simply stick close to their leading scorer. The coach needs to figure out how to get the girls to not stand around and watch one player dominate the ball . That's no shot at the girl. She's solid. However, as we saw with the COnner game last year, force that one player into tough shots and its a long night for the Pandas.

Each season is unique. I do think they will hold their own in the 9th. I have watched those 5 upcoming seniors since grade school and I think they are all really nice ball players with the ability to score.

Ryle should be good. I do think Highlands gets the nod at preseason #1. Which means nothing.

Is it true the Moss girl is leaving?

Is it true the Moss girl is leaving?

Not true!

If they are not Sr's to be and live in the new Cooper Dist, they have no choice but to attend Cooper unless they MOVE!

Not completely true ... the school board has left some room for some exemptions--which are based on extenuating circumstances or academic reasons.

Keep in mind--any mention of the word "athletics" in the exemption process ... basically guarantees a first class ticket to the new school.

Conner should be good again with Long leading the way. Boone County has to rebuild. Ryle will be the sleeper. Notre Dame is alway there.

The frosh team started pretty slowly, but I know they improved over the season. Their coach did a stellar job this past season.

Ryle is my sleeper. I think they lose one Sr guard w/everyone else back and a transfer guard coming in who I hear can flat out play.

Actually Ryle lost Morgan Mcleish, Kasey Jennings, and Brittany Lykes I believe.

Highlands should be pretty solid and IMO will be preseason #1. They return a very good core group of players lead by Allen.

I see Highlands and Ryle being preseason 1 and 2 but wouldn't be surprised to see Conner, NDA, or Boone have something to say about that.

Bird's #1 without a doubt. Now, whether they can handle the pressure or not will remain to be seen. They had a tough time carrying the label last year. Beyond them, I would wait until August to see if anyone transfers in or out. It seems to always happen. Ryle #2 (hmmm not sure about that one just yet).

Kez Murphy and Dwayne Beals coached the Frosh team at NDA. Fundamentals are key and they seem to teach the basics very well from what I have heard.

NDA frosh girls did a nice job of improving throughout year, you are also correct in saying that the coaches do a great job in the area of skills development,
