Next star of 12th region= Ethan Spurlin

Don't forget about Southwestern's Trevor Jones.

Another "future star"= Duran Elmore (sp?) from Danville. Could be a real good point guard.

As far as the next big stars behind Watts...

The young guard that West Jessamine had last year- He can play! Polson?

Jamel ??? from Mercer County might have the best raw talent in the region- tall, lanky and can run the floor well

Agreed Jones from SW can play so can Aumiller ( Boyle Co) Cannon from Casey County. PG from East is pretty good also.

Jamel Taylor is the kid at Mercer. Aumiller should be great next year also. I don't know a lot of kids from all over the region, but that'll change over the next year or so.

What about teams as a whole? Has anyone seen anything they like so far with summer schedules starting up?

Tyler Woods from Garrard will have a break out year. He is one of the purest shooters in the region. With the graduation of the starting point guard Woods will handle the ball more, which means more shots.

Boyle County looks like they are adjusting well to their new coach. They have shown a lot of continuity regardless of who is on the court and Jordan Aumiller looks great. Can't wait for this year to watch this team progress.

If i had to rank the top 5 players next year in the 12th this would be my list:

1.) Aaron Watts- McCreary Central

2.) Jamel Taylor- Mercer County

3.) Jarrod Polsen- West Jessamine

4.) Ethan Spurlin- Lincoln County

5.) Gavin Dunnagan- Wayne County

The top 3 are all going to be juniors and the last one is going to be a sophomore. This is a young region.

I agree with this list.

I heard that West Jessamine beat Boyle in the finals of the Centre camp. It was told to me that Boyle had one offensive play and played straight man to man and that West pulled out all the stops to win in sudden death. Any truth to this?

This is true. West Jessamine beat Boyle in the Centre Camp championship. It was sudden death over time and Boyle had a free throw chance to win it, but missed and West came down and hit a three to win.

I was told from some those in attendance that is was a pretty vanilla game- West and Boyle showed nothing but West did win. From what I have heard West has won alot of games this summer already, of course just summer also

Either way, I am sure Coach Springate was pleased with the outcome.

Does anyone know who won the Junior Varsity tourney at the Centre Camp? West Jessamine had the 1 seed and they looked like the best team in the JV division. Coach Springate coached that team.

JV also won the Centre Camp tournament.
