May 27, 200818 yr Small Markets economics?? Shoot fire we have got a guy that hits it in the creek. Who's cares about anything else. What? The teams leading the NL divisions don't have um on of them guys? Aw shucks who cares 40/100/100 is all we care about. That about sum it up? Trust me, you summed up your baseball knowledge for me a long time ago. :sssh::lol:
May 27, 200818 yr Trust me, you summed up your baseball knowledge for me a long time ago. :sssh::lol: Come see me when they put a division champ on the field. When they do that sans Mr. Dunn you can explain to me how they did it WITHOUT a 40/100/100 guy. :walk:

When they do that sans Mr. Dunn you can explain to me how they did it WITHOUT a 40/100/100 guy. :walk: I've given up trying to explain things to you. Never once have I said that a team can't win a division without a 40/100/100 guy, but you just don't let a guy like that walk without having a pretty good plan in place to make up for all of that production. :walk::walk::walk:
May 28, 200818 yr Yet you want them to get rid of the guy that gets on more than anybody, and gets them in more than anybody. Now that's logical. Saying you want Adam Dunn to stay on your team when he has not won. Now that's logical. You say he is the only one who hits, drives in runs, gets on base? Well from August 1st, of 2006(when the Reds were 3 games back of 1st place) to October 1st. Adam Dunn, "the machine", was just awful. He batted .185 with 9 HR's, 21 RBI's. So the only time the Reds have really been in contention in awhile, he choked. Let him get all these hits and HR's when his team is back 10 gm's. When it matters this guy is no where to be found.

He might not do it all this season, but by the time next rolls around, and Jay, Joey, Brandon, Jeff, and Eddie are a year older and this team is Griffey less, we will forget about future hall of famer Adam Dunn. We ALL know what Adam can do, you are not the only one with access to the 40/100/100/100 stat, the problem is, he just isn't worth 13 million, or our GM would have rapped him long term a long time ago.
May 28, 200818 yr Really? I'm sort of suprised you're in that camp. I think he'll be moved by the deadline. I also think replacing his production is going to be harder than some realize...

Sometimes I just have to shake my head, and just laugh at some of the things you say. What were his numbers up to then? Of course Adam Dunn had nothing to do with them being only 3 games back on August 1st did he? Of course A-Rod is useless to the Yankees also isn't he because when it comes playoff time he just disappears.

May 28, 200818 yr Yeah I pretty much do, and you can't seem to make up your mind. :sssh: I have re-posted my complete thoughts many times on Adam Dunn, now you are just trying to turn the topic to me not making up my mind, while you should be trying to show me something other than 40/100/100/100.:thumb:

Well if somone had only told me a long time ago that a player will be better, and put up bigger numbers because they are a year older. I sure wish you would tell E-5 that so he would just relax at the plate, and start hitting like he's capable of hitting. So you get rid of Dunn and Griffey, who do you have playing along side of Bruce in the outfield? Freel and Patterson? They sure sounds like a winning combination.
