Lewis Co. 13 Raceland 1

Pigskin season creates a much larger crowd at JC.

I know, as it does at Raceland, should be a great time.

I'm pretty sure it is that way at most high schools.

I agree, but then we have those who refuse to believe that football is king.:ylsuper: I can't understand their argument.

I was personally told that Raceland got screwed by some calls when they traveled South down RT23, but cant answer for the other games. Along with that I believe Raceland has some of the most avid fans in the 14th, 15th or 16th Region on BGPreps and never whine about a loss. If anything that go out of their way to congratulate the other teams. If all school districts had the fans like Raceland did, then all schools would be happy. I will have to say that Raceland is second to our Golden Eagle fans though, but still very supportive.

Thank you LL Cool, I appreciate your kind words and I think that I can speak for other Raceland fans as well. Your Golden Eagle fans certainly are supportive of your team as well. That is what it is supposed to be I guess that we will see you at the pre season football scrimmage. :thumb:

Thank you so much LL Cool. We want all teams to do well. We want good old fashion fair competition. It does no team justice when there are things that dont seem quite even on both sides. I try to make it a point to congratulate the winners in all sports. I also try and make it a point to compliment a great play or a player that is really pushing hard.

No one likes to see their team lose but by far Raceland Fans are always encouraging and rarely fall into the trap of sour grapes.

I almost fell out of my chair reading this thread. I know most Raceland fans are top of the line, class act type of people but there are more than a few that get on here and complain about the officiating wheather it be baseball or basketball (I haven't been a member during football season but I expect to see them there as well). Raceland beat Lewis Co. in the district tournament in basketball and still people complained about how bad the refs were. You guys can bash coupon 21 as much as you want but he's right, and it's a shame that the ones that are always coplaining make all Ram fans look bad.

^ I realize that a couple have complained about officiating, umps or whatever but I believe that for the most part that it is few and far between. I also believe that ALL schools have the "complainer's" on here. I don't think that any are completely void of it. I personally don't like to see it. I just think that sometimes that may give the kids (and parents) an excuse if you will instead of looking back honestly at mistakes that were made that if they had not have been a bad call woudn't have mattered so much.

Bad calls ara a part of the game, just about any game played anywhere you will have some bad calls. A player, team has to get past that and play through it.

I feel pretty confident in saying that most all of the Raceland fans on this board stay away from that kind of thing. That is one thing that as a Raceland fan I take pride in.

I like to acknowledge it if we were beaten, give credit to the opponet and move on,.....no excuses. I think that most Ram fans are that way.

Sure, sometimes I feel that we got the raw end of the deal but I don't like to come on a public forum and go on about it. That is just me and I am certainly not calling anyone inpaticular out.
