They were not hitting well also. To my knowledge the only hit of the game belonged to sophmore center fielder Loren Huffman which hit a double. It was good to see Bobby Mckee back in the lineup.

The past 2 games I have read about Raceland losing (Paintsville and LC) bad umpires were mentioned. Sorry if it seems like that is a common element on here when the Rams lose lately. Sorry if I got everyone woked up about it. I'm going to blame my previous post on bad umpires. I would have never made that post if the ump's would have been doing a better job.

Sorry about that you are totally correct Peyton Martin did get a hit. I dont like to slide any of the players. Martin is an excellent ballplayer.

Rams defense was not good tonight 5 errors led to 8unearned runs.They was not ready to tonight.The 16 Region has got to find some better umpires,they are not the reason the Rams lost they can only blame themselves for the lost but the umpires has got to have a clue on what is going on in the game.The last two games the Rams has played the umpires did not do a very good job calling the game.Congrats to the Lykins kid he did throw a good game if I am not mistaken he only threw about 60 pitches and they did hit the ball well tonight.

I dont think I have quoted you one time Old Ram. Curtis is the one always complaing about umps, why are you taking offense? You can say that the umps were bad, and that is fine, but when you follow it with the post that says "It seemed one sided" that sounds like whining about calls to me.

I was just posting in general and not trying to speak for anyone. Just the way that I read those post they said that the umps were bad, not that they cost Raceland the game. I don't think that he meant that the umps cost them the game at all, if I am wrong then I apologize.:thumb:

 

Good luck to GCHS in the upcoming district and regional (unless you play Raceland of course:D). I have a lot of friends down that way and have coached Raceland youth league teams years ago (late 70's and early - mid 80's) that played in that league (little league and Babe Ruth) with Greysbranch, Greenup, Argillite, Tygart, etc..

I have never said that they cost us the game if can not read than I do not what else to say I said that they(umps) was not good so get a clue. I stated that Raceland made mistakes that cost them the game.

I was personally told that Raceland got screwed by some calls when they traveled South down RT23, but cant answer for the other games. Along with that I believe Raceland has some of the most avid fans in the 14th, 15th or 16th Region on BGPreps and never whine about a loss. If anything that go out of their way to congratulate the other teams. If all school districts had the fans like Raceland did, then all schools would be happy. I will have to say that Raceland is second to our Golden Eagle fans though, but still very supportive.

I'm looking forward to that scrimmage at JC August 15. We might be able to see those two fan bases in action.
