Very true. Rev. Wright and Obama agreed more than a year ago that they would have to put some distance between them for Obama to have a shot at winning the election. Many will ignore that fact and will swallow Obama's sham condemnation of Wright hook, line, and sinker.

 

Wright will sell lots of books and Obama will pick up some votes of gullible moderates who do not follow the news. It is a win-win situation for them if the public buys it.

 

The only thing that surprises me is that I expected Obama to make the denunciation speech at the doors of his church for dramatic effect. Obama is a clumsy liar but I am sure that he will get better at it. He is certainly getting a lot of practice. :lol:

A little to late. I still think and believe that he knew all along what Wright was like and what he believed in, and I can't help think that Obama feels some of this also. This man was his mentor for years.

If anyone is interested Michelle Obama's doctoral disertation is an interesting read, to say the least...she is not far out of step with Wright...I mean the man baptized Obama's children, and he listened to him in the pullpit for 20 years and suddenly it is a shock...GASP!!! That would be like the KY house of reps coming out and being shocked that KY is a leading grower of pot and being suddenly shocked that such illegal activity is occuring here.

 

None of this smells right to me...no pun intended.

If Obama says nothing (or nothing you think is strong enough) its: "Well, he must agree with Rev. Wright."

 

If Obama says he is upset and that this is not like the Rev. Wright he knew years before some respond with: "Well, he's only saying that because he's a politician."

It wouldn't matter if he had slugged Rev. Wright for some people's opinions, they would have found a way to criticize Obama irregardless of which way he flips.

So, you are saying those of us who believed Jeremiah Wright last April when he said (to the New York Times that he and Obama had discussed the need for Obama to distance himself from Wright after winning the primary fight are conspiracy theorists? It doesn't see like much of a conspiracy when one announces his intentions to the press and then follows through on the plan. :lol:

I said I don't subscribe to every conspiracy theory that people put out. I never said anything about those that do. If that is what you want to do so be it. I support your right to do so.
