T.J. Houshmandzadeh on Chad: "If he's not traded it's going to be a problem."

Featured Replies

Remember the good old days when it was all in the minds of us supposed Chad haters.

I heard that, we need to bump the thread back up and see which of us said Chad is a cancer.

Gametime or anyone else. I am sitting here trying to figure out what the Bengals options are here? I think if they trade him it still cost them 8 million towards the cap. If they were to trade him for say a first round pick, then won't that hurt even more towards the cap in signing bonuses.

I am a season ticket holder, but I am tired of his act and would love to see him gone. Addition by subtraction. I think the Bengals can get a WR in the second or third round to perform as well as Chad did last year. At least they might run the right routes.

As Mr Reality mentioned yesterday, the most likely option is moving him after June 1st. At that point the cap hit is spread out to 4 million in 08 and 09...

I was one that defend him I will addmit. I was 100% wrong.

I'm glad he came out and said this. I'm sure they are friends but he is telling the truth. Unless unless Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis are idiot's they will cut loose and get some draft picks for him.

No team can take an $8 million dollar cap hit; they would have to cut players with significant salaries; no team does that.

Chad is in a no win situation; the Bengals hold his rights until 2010 with the Bengals holding the options on 2011.

If he doesn't show, he doesn't get paid.

If he does show and causes problems, he gets suspended or deactivated (he would still get paid this way, but the Bengals could bar him from the premesis ala TO).

I love it; Chad can do nothing but run his mouth; the more he does that, the more the World will ignore him because EVERYONE will be tired of it. The Bengals are already prepared to move on without him; they will run the ball more and don't need him anyway; 2 TEs and play action will be in full effect.

I know I said it, but I don't think I was the first...

Isn't it weird that TJ is talking about Chad causing distractions? Albeit he is not as bad as "Ocho Cinco", but hasn't it been reported that TJ throws fits about not getting the ball, etc..

You sir are correct. If Chad gets his way... I think Pollack/Perry/Rudi/Thornton.. 2 of the 4 have to go with him to eat space.

I love Chad Johnson..... Up til about October 07, from there on out he started to annoy me, and as of 08, he's basically become someone I'd like to fight. Cash shot a man to watch him die, I'd just like to see Chad feel something real for once,... he's in his own little world now.
