April 23, 200818 yr Chad is a very, very talented receiver, but he isn't Michael Irvin, Jerry Rice, or even Randy Moss... People like to point out, look how Culpepper did when Moss left, problem is, Culpepper is not 1/10 the QB CP is and CJ isn't 1/10 the receiver Moss is... Will the Bengals offense be better next year if Chad doesn't play? Absolutelt not, but it won't be nearly as bad as you guys think... Its very comical, some of the people here are talking about how awful Cincy sports fans are when they're the ones kissing the drama queen's butt who is screwing the team over and acting like this is an Arena Football League team... The team won 7 games last year, and with a couple of breaks they could have won 10.
April 23, 200818 yr :thumb: Instead of looking at the real problem, Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis, the city decided to turn on Chad. Talk about selectional hearing... Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis got 10 times what Chad got... The media called out Chad for being a selfish brat before it was cool... Look who was right?
April 23, 200818 yr I'd say both those teams will do better than the Bengals this year, and Washington made the playoffs last year, which is much more than the Bengals can say. Much better? You act as if they were so far away.... And how much do you want to put down?
April 23, 200818 yr Exactly, when the Bengals were getting better and then had the 2005 season no one had a problem with Chad except a select few. He was fun and entertaining. The second they start losing he's a distraction and it's his fault and he needs to focus on the game more. Give me a break...Cincinnati fans are ridiculous. The only people who went back on him last year were the media... The Cincinnati fans were still behind him until he pulled this crap... Even though he quit on plays, took 15 yard penalties, and was a baby all last year, most fans stayed behind him until he showed his true colors. Its all about him, and he doesn't care how unintelligent or selfish he looks. I can't wait for him to crawl back and beg for forgiveness...

FWIW, if that is in fact true, Palmer isn't 1/10 the QB Moss had throwing to him last year. And yes, the offense will be MUCH worse next year without Chad. TJ won't come anywhere close to what he did this past year, and they have no other receivers or any RBs.
April 23, 200818 yr Much better? You act as if they were so far away.... And how much do you want to put down? When did I ever say they would be much better?
April 23, 200818 yr WINNING would solve a lot of this. If I remember right Kobe Bryant sure did want out of Los Angeles. Does anyone hear that talk anymore? :sssh: I think Kobe thinks that crow taste pretty good at this point. :thumb:

Point is, Chad cannot take over a game, and hasn't for quite some time, IMO... Carson is a good enough quarterback to make the WR fit into the offense, and they will still be productive. Last year, he had a horrible year, but I doubt he'll miss his wide receivers as bad this year...

He had 3 studs at WR to work with last year, and couldn't get it done, so now that he has only 1, you think he's going to magically improve? I don't see how you can come to that conclusion.

I don't see how you can come to that conclusion. He played awfully to his standards, yet he still was 5th in PY for the year... Last year was a bad communications year b/w Carson and the WR's, I think they'll get that worked out in training camp, so I think the offense will run more cohesively... Not to mention, I think they'll have a healthy O-Line this year...
April 23, 200818 yr I feel bad for #84 this year. . Chris Henry gone and now it looks like Chad won't be out there playing alongside him. . He'll most likely struggle being the new Number 1 without a solid 2 and 3 to take some pressure off him.

Their emphasis on the running game with the ability to play two TEs will make Palmer a better QB with numbers that are not as good, except in the win column.
April 24, 200818 yr Chad will be out there. There is no way that he will sit out... He will come in eventually, but he will still try to force a trade through his behavior, which will get him escorted out promptly and will also unfortunately get him paid. At least at that point he will be out of the lockerroom.
