Newport Catholic Tailback - Kelly or Kelly

Featured Replies

Who will get the nod Mark the senior or Chris the Sophmore? Hear that Mark may move to receiver and get some time on defense????

I look for Mark to the featured back. Chris will get some time, but I would think mostly on defense.

I bet Chris will see time at wideout and back. They should go with in the back field, two headed monster. It would be sweet.

I heard Chris Grosser has given up soccer for FB! He's also an excellent reciever (with speed & hands) as well as a kicker! Sounds like between the Kelly' and Grosser that Robbie Kues will have some viable weapons next year!

Don't forget about Parr and Rawe. Parr could be the surprise player of the year.

Where would Parr play? They have their QB returning, right?

I bet he will fill a wideout slot and be darn good there, tall 6-3 and fast.

I hopes so. He's had such bad luck with injuries.

NewCath always manages to have players to feel the shoes of the previous season. That's what I call good management skills. NewCath's staff really knows how to produce quality players. It seems like they can take an average player and turn him into a skilled player. I look for both Kelly brothers to be a serious threat this coming season. I know that younger one sure can run the ball and hit like a train. The older one has always played hard and he can hit too. Parr and Rawe will both be valuable players for NewCath and should produce. I look for NewCath to have no problems in securing a spot in the AA playoffs next season.

I think that they are more apt to move Mark to wideout. He is extremely athletic and could transition to the receiver spot better than Chris at this stage. Chris is more power, which I think fits NC better. Chris is probaby stronger than Mark, even though he is two years younger.

Brothers?

Yes.

I believe that Newcath's best offenece incldes Mark and Chris together in the back field like Kevin Smith and Steven Everson used to do in the early 2000's.

Mark is the Man

Chris knows his role. Block Block work for the olfer brother.

Then when Mark needs a break, Chris will roll.

This is not a first at this house. Remember Sean and Ben playing at New Cath and again last year when Ben helped Sean break the Union's record for most receptions in a season. Ben did the same when he played at NC, Then became player of the year in 1a the next year.

Chris knows he's role. He is a stud. Next all state player who will knock down blocks then run the same guy over when he gets the ball. He is the difference maker for NCC offense.

Chris will do what it takes. Ask Holy Cross and Desales. If you didn't notice the freshman played noesguard to help stop the run. Big playoff games with a freshman in the mix. He has never done that before.

Everyone should watch him play. A Player, Fast, mean, tough, smart, can run and catch. But his attitude is amazing.

This Year Mark is the Man, Just ask Chris for your answer.
