April 5, 200818 yr Got hit hard, but avoided too much trouble. Didn't have his best stuff at all, but grinded it out and kept the Reds in it. The biggest being in the sixth after the Phillies tied it at 2, they had the bases loaded and just one out. Harang got out of it. That was the turning point in the game. He seemed to be a little off on Opening Day as well but he battles and thats all you can ask for. Good win.
April 5, 200818 yr I know I'm missed something here. But, why did Volquez get skipped? Is he the #5. I don't know why, but I was thinking he was the 4.

April 5, 200818 yr Nice win for the Redlegs. They are 3-0 in 1 run games.....that's huge. Coco I think might be the biggest pickup for the Reds in quite a few years. It's nice to finally know that once they get to the ninth with a lead, or tied game....it is more than likely going to stay that way. Patterson is impressive. We really don't need him hitting HR in the lead-off spot, but at this point I will take any production from a guy that was sitting on his couch mid way through spring training. I can see this is going to be a scrappy little team, and this year cold get really exciting.

April 5, 200818 yr Question; what happens when Gonzo and Ross comes back? If this question is just for me....I think that Castro should go down for Gonzo, I like what Keppy brings. And as for Ross, that's a tough one. I reckon you can have a 3 catcher rotation, but I don't know who to send down. If this is a general question.....I am the wrong dude to be asking.

The Reds struggled with that last year.
April 5, 200818 yr I don't like 3 catchers. The Reds struggled with that last year. I feel the same way, but the other two are playing good, as long as Javy doesn't go DL (any word on him?) So I don't know....how about a real expert analysis ....cue GT.
