March 24, 200818 yr I have a funny story about "The Sound of Music". When the twins were about 2 (the terrible twos!), we lived in a split level home. The family room was downstairs and I realized that I hadn't heard them for a while. I went to investigate and they were watching The Sound of Music on tv. Ok, all is good. After awhile, they were STILL sitting quietly watching this show. It is about 3 hours long, soooo guess what movie Santa brought for Christmas that year??? That's right,,,The Sound of Music! It is still an all time favorite here at our house. Peter Pan runs a close second.

March 24, 200818 yr One of the great musicals ever and one that I remember going with my family way back in the 60s and getting all dressed up because we were going "Downtown" and we had a nice dinner somewhere around Fountain Square and then we went to the movie I believe at The Palace or The Albee. Can't remember for sure but those sure were the days.

March 24, 200818 yr The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies of all times. A number of years ago my husband (then boyfriend) came to my house for christmas. He told me that he had one more gift that he had saved for me to open up at his house. So just knowing that it was an engagement ring I couldn't wait to get to his house. We - finally - got there and he went into his bedroom and brought out this, bigger than an engagement ring box, and handed it to me. I thought, "Oh gosh isn't he a hoot he had put the ring in a box with something else". So I open up the package and in the box was the Sound of Music movie - NO ENGAGEMENT RING. I took the package into his bedroom, layed it on his desk, and to this day I have never unwrapped the
