Obama should be proud to be named Hussein

And I will reiterate that if you weren't bothered by it you wouln't have brought it up and how it's funny that you didn't bring it up when I typed Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton or John Sidney McCain III. I chuckle each time someone comments on the use of middle names, so welcome to the sandbox. :D

Ronald Wilson Reagan

I was eligible to vote in my first Presidential election during Ronald Wilson Reagan's election.

I was told by Democrats that he was the anti-Christ and part of their proof was that his name has 6 initials, 6 initials, 6 initials. 666.

I remember hearing that too.

Obama's church and middle name = Tubby Bashing.

I am so tired of it. His middle name does not matter and both sides should stop bringing it up.

There is no evidence that Obama is a racist but he was very close to a man who has said some things that I do not believe need be said in a Church (and some that I don't think should be said at all. This is not a reason to not vote for Obama though.

Black Liberation Theology is not the same as what MLK Jr. preached and I find it ridiculous. I have no problem with predominantly African-American churches at all, in fact, I attend a church when I am in North Carolina that predominantly African- and Vietnamese-American with a mural that depicts an African-American Jesus and Mary. It is as ridiculous as portraying Jesus as white but arguing about it, I honestly believe, is the work of Satan. Arguing over his skin color makes us miss the point that Jesus had; focusing on Jesus's skin color is absurd. A minister such as Rev. Wright should know that. It does not matter what color Jesus's skin was.

I hope I am finished with these topics but I doubt it. A left-winger and a right-winger (and one of our moderates) will question something that I say. But I can only wish that we can put to rest these tired subject.

Only if you want it to.
With you? No.

I'm not sure I follow...is there something wrong with me? :creepy:

I am not sure what you are trying to say, but I was unclear in my initial comment. What I meant was that it is like Tubby-Bashing in the fact that both sides have beaten the issue to death and it won't go anywhere from here.

That's a loaded question! :jump:

Here's another gem from Reverend Wright.

"Black women are being raped daily in Darfur, Sudan, in the Congo and in Sub-Saharan Africa. That doesn't make news," Wright said in the August 2005 edition of Trumpet Magazine, a publication of his Trinity United Church of Christ.

But, "One 18-year-old white girl from Alabama gets drunk on a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and 'gives it up' while in a foreign country, and that stays in the news for months!" he added. "Maybe I am missing something!"

That is actually a good point. I'm not saying it's because of race or anything but why do some kidnappings make the news for so long when many others ccome and go unnoticed.

That's actually a very good point and a personal beef I have with the media. A white woman goes missing and the whole world stops but I can go to Wal-Mart and see posters of missing black and latino girls and there isn't a peep on Nancy Grace about them.

Oh Good Lord. Right over your head.
Oh Good Lord. Right over your head.

Care to enlighten me then?

Or Yours. Have you ever even considered the possibility that you are wrong on this? Or, are you like Henry VIII who because he was "divinely" placed on that throne that every thought that entered his head was placed there by God?

Just for a second, step back and try, just a little, to see all of this through the eyes of a black man who grew up pre 1964.

As my favorite aunt always used to say, "wake up and smell the coffee."

Bet if it was your daughter he was talking about, you wouldn't be so smug about this.

I think Ace's point is, if it were your daughters (the black and latina ones) what would you feel?
