Chad Johnson On 1st Take

Featured Replies

It was reaired about an hour ago. I've said this before; the Bengals are to blame for all the Dillons, Pickens, and CJs that have graced the organization. All of these guys were high profile, gifted players that got sick of the crap here. They just went about addressing it in a supect way. How many players jumped for joy, once they escaped the NFL purgatory that is Cincinnati?

Every team has their share of loud-mouth punks. The Bengals have also had many high-profile players who displayed class and professionalism and didn't drag down the organization by constanting running their mouths.

Problem is they're not being replaced. Tab Perry big loss? No, just another draft pick wasted.

Why? Cincy matched Landon Johson's deal and he was long gone.

Funny you mention Spikes; Lewis couldn't do anything to get him to stay. Why was that?

Yeah they have been replaced. They let Williams walk because we had the two young safeties we drafted last year, that they think are going to be good, and did show signs of being good. They replaced Justin Smith with the guy from Tennessee. So they have replaced the guys who have left with guys who might do better. As I said the only one I wish they signed back was Landon.

Also do you know for sure they offered the same deal to Landon, than Carolina? Because I thought I heard they didn't offer as much.

They just need to trade him and get it over with. Im sure they can get something good for him. If he doesnt want to play for the Bengals and they try to make him stay and play he will be worthless to the team so they need to just get rid of him. He is a cry baby just like T. Owens is. A real football player tries to pick the team up when they are having hard times and tries to get the team through it, not run away and cry like little babies wanting to go to a new team when things are tough.

The sequel to Corey Dillon........I got my snow caps and popcorn...

They matched the offer after Carolina offered. Landon said he didn't feel the love from the Bengals, that's why he left.

Chad needs to get a mask and cape, then look into a spot on the WWE. He would be able to run his mouth all he wanted, he could send his rivals pepto-bismol and win a nice shinny belt to parade around in.....Maybe a nice name like ocho stinko, or the MOUTH will be a proper fit. The only problem, I don't know if he has perfected his faking a tough hit well enough for the ring.

So apparently Chad is not the only one not feeling love from the Bengals. So maybe Chad is not so wrong in what he is saying?

In all fairness he has stuck through the tough times EVERY SINGLE YEAR since he has been here except for 2005 when they did make the playoffs. So its not like the Bengals were good, and just now got bad and wants to bail. He has been through the rough times every single year, and just like some of the other players we have had problems with, he is getting tired of it.

Football is a tough sport, and if your going to put all the time and effort that it needs, then you want to see results. I think right now IMO his main problem is that he is starting to realize that maybe here with the Bengals that he never will be on a winning team that might win a super bowl. I mean that is what it is all about for players when they get older, they want the chance to win that super bowl trophy.

I think he will be traded on draft day. Just a gut feelin, nothing more.

I hope you're right. I am tired of hearing his cocky mouth. He has one of the top 5 QB's in the league. He has one of the best slot receivers next to him (who happens to be one of his best friends). If he is not happy here, he won't be happy anywhere. I wish they just give him what he wants, get rid of him, get another 1st round pick and trade those to move up in the draft to get a pick they need.

The only thing thats hurts this move now was letting Tab Perry go. Now they only have two good WR options to go to, but I will take that loss to see him go.

Anyone else see Chad on Best Darn Sport's Show?

Chad should be more of a "Team Player" for Cincy like T.O. is in Dallas.
