Congrats to Butler! I really thought that this could be Montgomery County's year after the 11th Region tourney played out, but it looks like F-S was no fluke.

Who was tourney MVP?? Had to be Gibbs, even if she didn't play a second in the final!!

F-S is very, VERY good and will be a contender again next year. Coach Lindsey does a great job with those girls and they should be congratulated for a tremendous year...34-3!!

At what point did Tia go out?

She left late in the second quater and then Butler went on a 6-0 run to tie the game at 24.

Tia suffered a cut between the eyebrows late in the morning game,after the staff took care of it and got it bandaged up she seemed fine and returned to the game. In the championship game in the 2nd quarter Tia and a Franklin -Simpson player both hit the floor hard,both shaken up. I was seated right behind the Butler bench and noticed they were looking at her neck and shoulder area and could tell she was in pain. At half time she was helped to the locker room never to return to the floor, and heard some say she was taken to the hospital. Hopefully she is well today and nothing major wrong.

Gibbs was an eighth grader on Butler's roster in 2004. Iroquois won the region the next year, when she was a freshman.
