Corbin job will not come open for 24 more years.

It is good to see Dogman has finally realized the truth. Now he can post when something positive happens.

Now that right there is a long time, did Coach P. sign a lifetime contract or something? IMO I doubt he would want to coach 30 years or so at one place but I may be wrong.

He could coach the middle school or the girls and have supporters shouting his name in his twilight. I doubt he will stick to the boys for 30 years, but he might. Seems like the Hounds enjoy having folks around for many years. I can see Coach P being in a rock band or perhaps renting beach umbrella's in his golden years. So hangin around the middle school program would be way beneath him.

Now I would pay to see that! By the way what does the middle school have to do with anything? IMO a midde school teacher or coach is a honest job not to be looked down on, and surely a job no one in this area should think they are above.

Dodd at Russell resigned today as well

I heard that Walton's Girls B-Ball coach resigned...not sure if it is true or not...

That is true

Breathitt will be looking for a coach, but I already beleive that the position is filled. The coach at PCC has expressed interest in the opening, and is in talks with the superintendent of Breathitt. Jackson City will also be looking for a new coach. And on it goes, the carasel or coaches at Breathitt and Jackson City. Its a shame for the kids.

Where is you imformation from, I havn't seen anything to indicate Coach Banks is not going to be the coach next year.

This is Jackson City - Not County, correct?

Why would North be open?

Jackson city is not in the 13th and Jackson County is in the 13th and I think he said in the 13th.

Ther are a lot of people in Carroll that would like to see all the coaching and other positions revamped..... They call it the Good Old Boy County

Do you all think Scott Hundley would be a good fit at Tates Creek? He is currently the assistant at Montgomery County. He played at Dunbar before transferring to Scott County. It may be a good fit.

It's way to soon to even think of what positions will be open and the "front" runners for the jobs. Almost all the coaches in the state are under contract still and will be until the end of the school year. Therefore they will not and cannot be hired at a new school until their contract is up. So there is no reason for this thread because all it is, is rumor. No facts at all except if there is an "opening" but as far as who will replace who that will have to wait until the end of May when most of the schools let out for the year. This isn't college or pro level where as soon as the season is done a coach can leave a school, most of the time they are teachers or administrators in a school district and are under "a contract" at the school they are employed in, and until that contract is expired they can't take another job.

There are already positions open in the state. They can release a coach right now if a school wants to.

A Coach Contract expires May 15th but they can be told if they will be retained or not before that date. Also, coaches get paid after the season or they can have it spread out during the year after a new contract is signed. No real contract on that one so the June 30th date is wrong.

I have heard that both Breathitt and Jackson will keep their current coaches. That is just what I am hearing.
