Don't believe they are hiring a new coach, just looking to add Whitaker as an assistant.

Has Whitaker ever been an assistant? I know he was the head man at Bell and Whitesburg. I do not know if he would take the back seat and be an assistant. What was with all the talk about Hatcher becoming the coach at Brethaitt and Spurlock from Clay becoming the coach at Perry, has it died?

I have been hearing that Kevin Spurlock may be taking the head coaching position at Alice Lloyd College. So Clay may actually be looking for a new coach.

Link? Name of schools? Name of person telling you this? Link to any of your past posts where you have contributed anything other than a gripe or an attempt to start a rumor? Relationship to you of kid who has not gotten enough playing time under Elam? C'mon, Roundballfan, give us one shred of credibility to back up your wealth of knowledge concerning Elam or the KC program.

Get a grip.. This stuff goes on everywhere. Most coaches keep their options open, because you never know when an opportunity will present itself.

Have heard the same thing last night! Just wondering if their was any truth to it or not. Also heard that Coach Hatcher and Bobby Keith are pretty good buddies and gone on a golf trip for the weekend. Wonder if Hatcher could end up at Clay? Who would be interested in the Perry job then? Many, many questions that need answered! Anyone got some of the answers?

I would think the Boyle job would be a good one. You may not win a state championship but should certainly be competitive in the region every year and it is a good system to work for. Nice kids, supportive system. any thoughts on this job?

If more than half of your posts didn't involve rumors of Elam resigning, Elam being fired, Elam playing the wrong people, Elam's players transferring, other coaches "rumored" to be applying for the Knox Central job or Elam applying for other jobs, then I might believe that you are referring to "stuff that goes on everywhere". Anyone can anonymously get on a message board and say "I heard". I'm saying either give some substance to your rumors, give details on what wrong you feel Elam has done to you, or "get a grip" yourself.
