Seems more than just Pendleton County & Augusta people are interested in who gets this job?

Never realized that so many Pendleton County and Augusta people cared about who is coaching the Bracken County Lady Bears all of a sudden,truly amazing.

 

When Brossart and Campbell came invaded our district, Pendleton and Bracken became more allies than bitter rivals. I think that was cemented when you saw the Pendleton fans roaring approval and support when Bracken upset Brossart in the district tournament. Pendleton fans enjoyed it almost as much as Bracken fans did.:thumb:

I will be just glad when they officially name the coach. Conversation will be pretty intense at this point after the coach is named based upon the readings thus far in this thread.

 

With that being said, does anyone know who has turned in applications besides Coach Kelsch?

 

To my knowledge the job has not even been posted for people to apply for.

I am not from anywhere close and don't know any of the people personally, but I find it very a entertaining read. Only in Kentucky, could a small town girls coaching job on a team w/ not much history of success draw this much attention. Good luck to Mr. Kelsch, with all his celebrity contacts, he should have a good list of references.

History of success is all a matter of how you view it. For example, Bracken County has to hold the record for the most 38th district titles even though they have not been a part of that district since 1995. They also have some regional success, although no championships. They also have Class "A" state tournament history. There is quite a fine tradition there.

Bracken was in the 38th through 2005. Teams were re-districted at that time. After Brossart and Campbell came in, Bracken was never much of a factor. Don't know about before then. You need to get your facts straight.

I sounds to me the root of the problems at Bracken Ly with the admistration. Sounds as if they make their decision with very little thought.

 

If Molly rubbing people the wrong way means that she didn't succumb to stuff that she didn;t feel necessary, in other words kissed someones --- just to kepp her job, then shame on the again the administration for having no backbone to try and work whatever problems there might have been and not just get rid of her. So I guess rubbing somone the wrong way causes you to not perform as the coach so you shouldn't be renewed. I guess I am starting to get a feel for how it works at Bracken.

Just hope the next person understands what needs to be done to keep the job, apparently stick nose up certain rears

Winning the District 10-12 years in a row seems pretty sucsessful to me. Bracken County just needs to get someone in to Coach that will be around longer then 3-4 years and continue to build the program back to what it use to be . Coach Schultz would have done her best to do that . But the Administration thought otherwise, guess they like to keep things on the move, untill they find someone that will answer YES to whatever THEY want. Take that for what it is worth with an Unqualified Administration making the decisions at the High School.

I wouldn't consider 3 years a Marrige but maybe Dating, It is kind of hard to make an impact if you never get the chance to see things through, Things don't happen over night, you as a Coach yourself should be able to recognize that. Atleast I would hope so.Things could have worked out if they were truly given a chance, But the fact is the only reason things didn't work out is because not everyone in the administration liked the way she did things not because she couldn't coach but because they had Personal problems with how she did things ( just look at her evaluation ) More of a personal problem then anything else. One person problem. Oh and a THOUGHT. a little communication goes along way. When there is communication on both ends, Having people in certain positions that have NO buisness being in them, is part of the problem and untill they actually get people in there that are respected and can do the job the way the job is supposed to be done then things will never be any different, athleticly or academicly.

You would think this is a NCAA final four job up for grabs , I have seen very few girls games, But what I have seen there was over 50 coaches (or people thought hey were coaches in the stands ) Is a former coach from Augusta Applying for the bracken co job also, named Mike Appleman??? heard that the other night down at campbell county.

Don't know anything at all about the situation at Bracken Co. but I can speak on the administration viewpoint. I have seen it WAY TOO MANY TIMES that the administration does not support the coach when they are trying to improve the program. They listen to complaining parents, players who quit the team, and other in "power." But to have a backbone and treat the coach with respect - that seldom happens. I have little (oppps, let me recount that - NO ) respect for an administration who does not work with a coach or allow the coach their input into the program. If what on here is true about the administration, I cannot say I am at all surprised. They normally just sweep the problems under the rug and move on with no consideration about how it affect the coach. Shame on Bracken Co. administration if it is true. I would NOT coach there.
