So a coach being let go for personal reasons or conflicts with an administration INTERESTING. Administration needs to reevaluate themselves. As an educator they are supposed to be in it for the knids. I don't think that the best interest is in it for the kids in this situation at all. The kids need stability and it sounds as long as said administration is in threre this wiwll continue, unless the new GUY kisses rears.

Bracken was in the 38th through 2005. Teams were re-districted at that time. After Brossart and Campbell came in, Bracken was never much of a factor. Don't know about before then. You need to get your facts straight.

I agree totally about the administration! However, for a basketball marriage or partnership to work, BOTH sides have to do their part! From, what I have heard and from people I have talked to, both sides are guilty there.

 

Do not get me wrong, I have no ill feelings towards Coach Schultz at all! I tremendously respected her as a player and thought she did a decent job as coach!

I can assure you of one thing: Former Augusta Lady Panthers coach Michael Appleman II, is not putting an application in at Bracken County! I spoke with him earlier this week and he is very content working with the Pendleton County Future Hoopsters program and the AAU program w/Coach Simms!

 

I will say this: He would do a GREAT job if he was to get the job! He did wanders in his three years at Augusta and how he made them competitive again. A wonderful basketball mind, a bit rambunxious, but a very good coach!

The powerhouses that are Deming,Augusta and Pendleton.

 

Those powershouses included players like : A.D. Graves, Miller, Linville, and Collins from Deming, Rosenberry and Woods from Pendleton, Applemans Connie and Carrie, Rachael Hamilton, and Dana Bach from Augusta. Try to account for those points every night and show me any coach in the 10th region that would not want them on their team and I'll show you a coach that didnt stay a coach long.

Winning the District 10-12 years in a row seems pretty sucsessful to me. Bracken County just needs to get someone in to Coach that will be around longer then 3-4 years and continue to build the program back to what it use to be . Coach Schultz would have done her best to do that . But the Administration thought otherwise, guess they like to keep things on the move, untill they find someone that will answer YES to whatever THEY want. Take that for what it is worth with an Unqualified Administration making the decisions at the High School.

Well to start with i would say having NO expierence being an Athletic director or even a Asst. AD before being hired would classify as unqualified and being an Asst. Principal for 1 year prior to being a Principal and running the school is another one, just because you have your Administration dosent make you qualified for the position. I would think being hired as a Principal to run a School that you would have at least a few years as an Asst. Principal first, or at least some years under your belt in Administration.Two full time positions run by 1 person seems like an aful lot for someone with NO expierence. I wonder how many other schools in the state of Kentucky have the AD and the principal in the same person. Being hired Principal and Athletic director, are a little different then hiring a New teacher or New coach with No varsity expierence. And being Athletic Director is more then just being at home games, and going to meetings. IMO that is what i mean by UNqualified hope i elaborated enough for you Big daddy Bear.....

There are always Two sides isn't there????( When there are Two parties involved )The fact is that the Administration didn't want to renew Coach Schultz's contract for coaching. If you would like more information I'm sure if you would ask the AD that maybe you could gain some more insight on the situation. :thumb:

Why? Maybe that is what the Bracken girls need. Someone to get on the cases about not playing up to their ability.

 

I saw them play 3 times this year under both coaches and none of the times did I see them play, as a team, with the spirit and fire needed to play with the top 3-4 programs in the region.

 

Thus, my statement earlier about them being .500.

 

BTW, Mac Whitaker seems to have some success with some screaming and shouting.

 

Would you turn down a chance for the Bracken girls to play for Mac and the level of success he gets out of his players?

I for one don't mind the principal being the AD also, beats the way they had it before, the head boys coach as AD. Always wondered how you could fire yourself.
