March 4, 200818 yr Numerous, numerous times.....it's not anything like Keeneland or CD for that matter. Speed does win there....but the crowd is much more reserved than you'll be used to. My dad and I took a helicopter to the track from Opa Locka airport for the '99 Breeder's Cup.....it was an amazing weekend..and I came home with about 3 1/2 G's... Have you been since they added the casino? I was under the impression it was a lot like Keeneland now. Regardless, I am really excited I have wanted to visit Gulfstream for sometime now. Also how far is it from downtown Lauderdale?
March 4, 200818 yr I'm going to Panama City Beach March 29th-April 5th, while I was planning on going to all the clubs and the ocean, I twisted my knee playing soccer on Sunday and have a torn miniscus. I'm having surgery on Thursday but I won't be doing any dancing or swimming on spring break.:cry::cry::cry:
March 4, 200818 yr I am taking my airplane-fanatic 5 year-old to Washington D.C. for a tour of the Air & Space Museum, and probably see the Natural History Museum and Arlington Cemetery and maybe a few other spots.

When I tore my meniscus I was back in pads playing football within two weeks. So I'd say you've got a pretty good shot since you've got about 3 weeks to work with.:thumb:

March 5, 200818 yr My spring break will be revolving around something that I love....BASEBALL!!!! I'll be working the NKU baseball games during spring break. The Norse are schedule to play Findlay (DH) on 3/12 at 1 p.m., Tiffin (DH) on 3/14 at noon, and Drury (2 DHs) on 3/15 & 3/16 at noon each day. The Drury games will be big cause the Panthers are the defending GLVC tourney champs and it'll be NKU first home GLVC games. I know this might sound crazy to some but you can have the sound of the ocean.....I'll take the sound of baseball chatter and the PING of the bat anyday!!! Be doing the same, except in Florida.... Anyone in the Largo, Clearwater area March 31st- April 5th, be glad to let you buy dinner.
