With 9-11 draftees, the Bengals could set up their defense for the next 10 years; let's hope they continue to draft well as they have done the last 2 years (Joseph, Peko, Brooks, Hall, White, Ndukwe). Toeina was another good one that they let get away, and Rucker has flashed ability when he has been healthy. If you go back another year, they drafted Pollack, Thurman, and Fanene in '05; if the LB's come back, that will have been another good draft.

I've read most of the recent threads dealing with the Browns and you continually down them. To deny that Cleveland won't have a really good team next year is a joke. We've done nothing but improve. As for the draft, there is no way we could have gotten better D-linemen for next year in rounds 2 and 3.
March 2, 200818 yr I like the idea of getting another receiver opposite Edwards, but I don't like Stallworth. He runs the go route pretty well, but that is the extent of his skills if you ask me. I think they would have been better off getting Berrian from Chicago.

The Browns have built a solid squad, whether you like it or not. The missing draft picks hurt the future, but they'll be a good team next year. Probably contend for their division next season.

I don't think giving up your draft picks is always a good idea. Draft picks aren't always guys who won't contribute for a few years. Look at the Giants, with Ahmad Bradshaw, Steve Smith and the other rookies that made huge contributions in their super bowl run.
March 2, 200818 yr No draft picks for the Browns until the forth round... That has been stated, and while it hurts, they have added some good talent with these trades.
March 3, 200818 yr We sacrificed this draft for the present and we picked up some good talent. We still have all our picks for 09, so its not like this will kill us long term.
