Here is something I hate.

 

When it snows and I have to go to somewhere. I always take all the time and effort to clean off a hole in my windshield about the size of a basketball to see out of. I usually just pour a cup of coffee on there to clear that hole, but it works great. Safety first for me.

 

And then, when I get moving, I absolutely hate that first 3 or 4 miles at highway speeds that it takes to properly blow all the ice and snow off my car. What a pain.

 

I've found if I let my car warm up good before I take off, it all blows off in bigger chunks which makes the whole thing quicker. But who has time to warm up the car everyday?

I don't get the ice completely off, I slightly pry it off and see what kind of distance I can get once I reach the highway. The last couple of days I sat at the end of the exit trying to get in front of RTS, just for fun...

Letting your vehicle warm-up nowadays, can cost a bundle. Scrape small hole to peer out of and go.

Take the time to clear off more than a small hole. You should have clear vision on all angles! Get 3 kids to clear it off while you wait in the house. Works for me.

I tried a new method today that worked well with minimal effort, which is key to any project if you ask me.

 

Since it was so cold, the snow was dry and powdery. So I just cranked up the leaf blower and blew the stuff right off the car. Man it worked so good I went ahead and did the sidewalks and driveway in no time.

 

The neighbors must have really liked my idea because they came all the way out on their porch in this freezing weather to wave at me. I couldn't hear them, but I could tell they were excited. I'll bet they used their leaf blower on their driveway too after I'd gone.

I couldn't tell. It was my mother-in-law and she was wearing the beautiful 3-tone wool mittens I bought her for Christmas. The kind with the string holding them together, very nice.
