No different than what Stewart said. Cunningham is always saying stuff like this, and yes, for laughs. The venue is completely different. He's saying it, to downgrade Obama, because of his name, to a bunch of conservatives at a McCain rally. Stewart said it AS A JOKE, not serious at all, to get laughs. If those aren't completely different, then I don't know what is!

February 28, 200818 yr The more I think about what happened yesterday, the more ticked off I get. Just as I had prepared myself to vote for McCain, he pulls this stunt. His Vietnam service gives him hero status in my book, but his actions yesterday were either the acts of a coward or a backstabber. Either way, I'm not so sure I want this guy running the country. I dont' think he has the testosterone to do it. I don't want a "can't we all get along" president. I want someone who will say it like it is. Cunningham was begged to host this gathering, get the invitation only crowd fired up and then they threw him under the bus. When a Congressman calls for strong actions against those who would harm us, is McCain going to apoligize and "distance himself?" When Ahmadinejad, Chavez and Kim Chong Il threaten to destroy the United States, is McCain going to send them flowers? Cunningham spoke only the truth yesterday and McCain toasted him. I'm about ready to throw my vote for the socialist Dem candidates. Then maybe we can get a real leader to run in 2012. That was the best part, when Cunningham said, "All was well. No problem whatsoever until about an hour later . . .when John McCain threw me under the bus, under the Straight Talk Express. I got thrown under the bus." As much as he annoys me, I had to laugh at that.

February 28, 200818 yr I also don’t understand why using a man’s given name is wrong. I am not a fan of Barack Hussein Obama, but it has nothing to do with his name. I don’t like his politics. The people who will use his middle name as an excuse to not vote for him are no more ignorant than people who use his race as justification to vote for him, or use Hillery’s gender as a reason to vote for her. These people are in a popularity contest. The one who receives the most votes, MAY, become the leader of the free world. People will use a lot of different reasons to vote or not vote for them.
