February 25, 200818 yr Why does Lofton always disappear against teams with great athletes? If my memory serves me right, he had a good game against Ohio St. last year in the NCAA.........seems like they had some good athletes.
February 25, 200818 yr If my memory serves me right, he had a good game against Ohio St. last year in the NCAA.........seems like they had some good athletes. Good ones, not great. You said it, not me. Conley and Cook were freshman as well, and not great defenders.
February 25, 200818 yr Good ones, not great. You said it, not me. Conley and Cook were freshman as well, and not great defenders. So your saying Memphis has better athletes than OSU had last year? Also I mean pretty much against this same Memphis team last year, Lofton just tore them up. The whole thing about Lofton not going good against good athletes is VERY WEAK. He has had more great games against good athletes, than he has had bad games. Actually he has had very few bad games against good teams with good athletes. He usually steps up in these types of games, and well just in this game he didn't. Memphis had a great game plan for him, it as simple as that.
February 26, 200818 yr Author Memphis had a great game plan for him, it as simple as that. The gameplan was guard him man-to-man and don't help off.
February 26, 200818 yr The gameplan was guard him man-to-man and don't help off. That is true and I have mentioned that a lot in the last couple of days. However for whatever reason most teams have not done that, but Memphis did. So that is why it was a great game plan.
February 26, 200818 yr I'll agree with you for the most part RP. I'll agree that Louisville is one of the better teams in the NCAA right now. But not Carolina. I'd have to say that Louisville,Tennessee and Memphis are probably the best teams thus far. North Carolina(with Lawson at 100%) and UCLA are the best teams right now IMO. Then the next tier of teams that have a shot go in order.... Kansas, Memphis, Duke, Texas, and Tennessee.
