February 23, 200818 yr I'm watching UConn and Nova and seeing people with beer cups in their hands. It's just a foreign site to me after going to UK games and other SEC venues where they cant sell it. I know the SEC has a rule that it cant be sold at the game. What would it take for this rule to ever change? Is there some law that says beer cups at events have to be clear? Shouldnt there be an NCAA rule about alcohol at games, instead of just league wide rules? Is beer sold at post season tournaments (league, NCAA, NIT, etc.)? We have to be careful on this subject guys. Let's not get this one closed and end up with some suspensions.

With each individual campus across the nation having their own rules regarding alcohol, I think it would be pretty hard to have any NCAA-wide rule in place. The other obstacle is schools with off-campus arenas v. on-campus. Were I guessing, most places like Freedom Hall and other large civic arenas probably do a split on beer sales, and I doubt that the non-campus arenas would want to even bother with games were they not getting an extra incentive. Personally, I think all college games should be wet.
February 23, 200818 yr You can drink at UC games. The is a big reason I got football season tickets. Good football and a cold beer nothing beats that!!
February 23, 200818 yr I am pretty sure that you not sell alcohol at on campus arenas for a state funded schools. The SEC is dry, I also think that all NCAA tournaments are dry. Bowl games don't count, because they are not a tournament. If U of L stopped selling alcohol tomorrow it would be a nightmare, and you'd get a ton more bourbon brought in, instead of simple beer drinking.

If I'm not mistaken, you can get a draft beer at the University of Wisconsin student union, and I have heard of several other campuses across the country that are "wet." I can't imagine all NCAA tourney games are dry. Anybody who's been to games at a few different sites who can shed some light on this one?
February 23, 200818 yr I have been to two different places and they were both dry. The ACC tourney is dry.

My brother got through 4 years at UK and never realized this fact. Him and several other actually. :sssh:
February 23, 200818 yr OK IMO watch the game and remember it. ! ! ! ! ! I tend to remember them either way...
February 23, 200818 yr Beer is sold at W.K.U. baseball games, and the baseball stadium is on campus. Shockingly, student attendence has soared since they started selling it.
February 23, 200818 yr Not always... I tend to remember them either way... :thumb: I like to at least know I have the OPTION of forgetting a game, even if not the monetary needs to provide for such consuption. Yup, yup.
February 24, 200818 yr OK IMO watch the game and remember it. ! ! ! ! ! What if your team is losing by a lot... If you don't remember it, it never happened.

Campus is dry but Rupp is off campus and they always sell at other events. I'm going to guess that beer is not sold at the Sweet 16 is it? I have been several years, but never really paid attention.
