I've always thought Larry Hughes was terrible anyways and Gooden hasn't been getting it done lately.

I don't see how this helps the Cavs that much. I don't think they have improved that much. Wallace playing the 4 is going to be ugly IMO.

I think he'll help them a lot actually. Z has a decent mid range jumper and having Wallace down low will free him up a little more offensively. Defensively he is a HUGE pick up for the Cavs.

Wallace down low will not free up Z, they will not have to double Wallace at all and can stay out on Z and cut down on his mid-range game.

Wally does give them a shooter but he is not a good defender.

I disagree. Z is more often then not forced to stay down low when the Cavs are playing. Wallace will allow him to move around a little bit and change the types of offenses they can run when you have a great rebounder like Wallace down low. Wally is obviously not that great of a defender but what they've been missing is another scoring threat such as Wally. With his offense and Ben's defense and boards I think this is a great pickup.

Z might be able to move around but it won't be very fast. :D

Wallace will not require a double team at all like Z does in the low block so I don't see how it will help Z except that he can move out of the post at times. But again, His man will stay with him because they will not have to double down on Wallace.

Cav's make a huge deal. They get Wally World who scores about 14 a game and Big Ben!

The NBA keeps getting better and better and more interesting.

Being a Chicago fan, I like the move. They aren't going anywhere this year, Wallace would be a year older next year. The ridiculous contract they signed him to would become more of an anchor. Ben Gordon could be gone soon, they needed to retool. I will be anxious to see what else they do in the off season.

They may not be very good this year, but at least they have some pieces in place to be somewhat competitive in years to come.

I think Delonte West will surprise people with his PG play.

It must feel great to know you have a guy like Ben Wallace behind you protecting the basket and rebounding like a mad-man. Big Ben should be able to fully concentrate on those two things in Cleveland!

I wander if he regrets leaving the PISTONS!

Big Ben will be happy to get out of Chicago as well. I think the change will revitalize him and he will look like the Big Ben of old.

West will surprise a lot of people. He has been in crowded PG situations in the past and not gotten a lot of national exposure. This could be his coming out party. I think those two players alone will be upgrades over Hughes who was playing out of position at PG, and Gooden who was an average PF. Throw in Smith who has been very solid this year and Wally who is the shooter they have needed for LeBron to kick to off the drive and I dont see how this can be considered a bad trade. You put Gibson and Wally in the lineup at the same time with LeBron and they become very dangerous and it opens up lanes for LeBron to drive and Z to post.

Ben has been a huge flop in Chicago... not sure this is good for the Cavs.

I'm thinking the same thing...

This is a great trade for the Cavs. While they gave up a lot, they got even more back.

At first glance it seems like a bad trade. But when you look at it, all of the players they got are upgrades from before.

Wallace brings a defensive presence down low that the Cavs have been lacking for so long. While some say he was a flop in Chicago, he didn't really have any help down low on offense like he will with Big Z.

Szerbiack will give Lebron an outside threat to dish to when he drives and draws triple coverage.

West is the key IMO. He is much better than Hughes and younger. West, a crafty lefty, will run the point well for the Cavs and open up alot.

Ultimately, Lebron holds the Cavs success in his hands. He is the best player in the eastern conference and nobody can guard him. Lebron makes everyone around him better and to get quality players like the Cavs got will only step their game up even more.

Solid trade for the Cavs.
