Its a shame that HHS baseball can't get on the football field after the gridiron gang's spring practices are over. Instead they get to watch some 10 year olds play soccer while they're stuck in their dank dark 1922 gymnasium.

Can I get an AMEN. That was Priceless

It sounds as if the baseball program at Highlands has never been good. Didn't they used to win the district almost every year? Didn't they also win back to back regional championships and play far into the region? They had a lot of students trying out back then. They also had a lot of good baseball players not playing because of the same reason.

From looking at your other post, I think you can figure it out what went wrong 5 - 6 years ago. That's why HHS has a new Coaching staff. They are trying to right the ship. Just having to clear a "few" hurdles along the way. It will get there though.

What happened 5 or 6 years ago? If they were winning, why did they have to "Right the ship?" How are the hurdles different now?

Nice article in the paper today about a couple of Highlands players.
