PutMeInCoach Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Okay I need to know what we should do, I found this funny but my cousin isn't pretty worked up over it. He just started a new job, and his manager has been sexual harassing him. She is hitting on him, sending him text messages with vulgar stuff in them, and trying to get him to "be" with her. He's saved all of the texts and hasn't returned one message to her, she has two kids and told him "if you tell anyone I'll fire you". What should he do? Who should we talk to?
PepRock01 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Is there an HR department there? Or if not he could take it to her superior.
PutMeInCoach Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 I'm not sure, He didn't tell me where he was working he was to caught up in complaining about how uncomfortable he is and how he never thought he would be sexual harassed.

Most businesses would have an ethics line or something like that that he could call too.
cshs81 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm going to go ahead and type what many are thining: What does she look like?
leatherneck Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm going to go ahead and type what many are thining: What does she look like? You thinking about a change in jobs? On a serious note: I represent employers, so I can't give any advise to your cousin. I'd suggest he contact an attorney in his area that represents employees.
Hasbeen Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm going to go ahead and type what many are thining: What does she look like? It is relevent.
nees1212 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 It is relevent. It should also help us answer his 2 questions.

The Scribe Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Am I the only one thinking of Demi Moore here??
cooperstown Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The manager's threat about terminating him is pretty worthless. In fact, if she were to fire him over this situation - given the evidence that he has that he was pursued by her - he would have a pretty solid wrongful termination suit against his employer.
cooperstown Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Am I the only one thinking of Demi Moore here?? If she looked like Demi Moore, I'm thinking this thread probably wouldn't exist.
sweet16 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Am I the only one thinking of Demi Moore here?? there would be no complaints then.
nees1212 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Putmein sent me a pic of his boss. Based on this pic, I guess it's safe to assume that he's not really into clowns. But then again, PMIC did say his cousin wasn't too worked up about it.
