Hangman Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Not a pretty game but they got the win... Props to Bradley, Crawford, Patterson, Harris, and Stevenson for having good games... Stevenson was close to a double double and Harris was filling up the stat sheet before going out with injury. Bradley was typical Bradley and the same can be said for Crawford. Hendrix didn't play for 'Bama today, and I wonder how much he would've changed the outcome if any. The other bigs came in and got a lot of points that would've went to Hendrix before so it might cancel out... It's a moot point anyways. All we can ask for is the win, and they got it today. :dancingpa 5 in a row!
HOOKSHOT Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Not a pretty win....but a very important one!!HOW BOUT THEM CATS :thumb:
bigblueinsanity Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 5 in a row. Half way done in the SEC and stand at 6-2. Lets hope we can do the same in the 2nd half!!
cvillecat Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Nice win for the Cats as they extend their winnning streak to five in a row. Great job by coach G in making adjustments at halftime and an excellent defensive effort in the 2nd half by Kentucky. Back to work tomorrow as Vandy will be looking for revenge on Tuesday night.
Alabama Larry Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 We were stuck on 32 points for about 8 minutes...then we hit a free throw, and went about 4 more minutes before we scored.
rockcastleraiders Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 A win is a win, as I always say. I mentioned it in another thread that Stevenson would have to have a big day and he did.
oldrambler Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Thank God thats over. That was ugly. IMO there is no such thing as an "Ugly" win. I'll admit that parts of this one (especially the 1st half) were like a root canal :Dbut there is still no such thing as an ugly win. :thumb:
EJHS Fan #98 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I would say that was about what I expected now we just got to focus on Vandy, UK just needs to take it one game at a time and they will be fine the rest of the way. GO CATS.
KY Thorobred Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 IMO there is no such thing as an "Ugly" win. I'll admit that parts of this one (especially the 1st half) were like a root canal :Dbut there is still no such thing as an ugly win. :thumb: That sure as heck was an ugly loss for me! :irked:
oldrambler Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Great job in the 2nd half by the Cats. Coach Gillispie made some good adjustments and our defense was very good, especially on Gee, that imo was key in this one. The 1st half we were living up to my new nickname for this U.K. team....."Team Turnover". 2nd half was a much better effort all around, once again Gottfried was outcoached and also cost his team with a "T". I thought that Bama play undiciplined with a couple of cheap shots thrown in but that is common for a Gottfried coached team. Enough about them, Stevenson had good game and I thought that Bradley, Crawford and Patterson once again looked good. One thing that imo has to change/improve is that this team HAS to cut down on the turnovers :irked:. I hope that the Harris injury is not serious and he will be able to come back for the next game. Next up.....Vandy in Nashville at that "museum" they call a colliseum . Vandy will no doubt be ready to play, they have been down starting with when we beat them earlier. U.K. will get their best shot Tuesday night. Now I am going to stay away from the t.v. for a while longer, I am recording the Minnesota game that is on now to watch after it is over. as always.......GO BIG BLUE!!!! :dancingpa
oldrambler Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 That sure as heck was an ugly loss for me! :irked: :confused: Ugly Loss??.:sssh::lol:.............. U.K. Won.
