Seriously, the more that Hillary is forced to debate anybody one-on-one, the more her record threatens to sink her campaign.

 

I am concerned that Hillary will manage to dodge enough debates so that I will never see her squirm to explain where the $5 million came from that she recently loaned to her campaign.

 

Hillary does not want to face Tim Russert's questions again and Shuster provided a pretense for her to boycott NBC.

I just betcha if any of you or I were running for a local office and someone made that kind of remark about one of our children we'd be spit firing mad and we all know it.

 

It makes no difference who the child, adult or not, belongs to, no one should allow someone to say that about any of them.

 

The only reason that some don't think that it was "too" bad of a remark is she just happens to be Hillary's daughter. If someone had made that remark about McCain's or Obama's daughter there would be an outcry for the person who said it's head.

 

I have never made any bones about my dislike for "W" but even I would think that it was horrible if someone said that about one of his girls.

Have you ever actually seen "Pimp my ride"??? It's all about people that can't get lucky getting a status upgrade. If you're driving a 1987 Lancer, things aren't going well before the MTV cameras show up. When they leave, things get easier.

Clintonian politics requires an endless supply of conspiracy theories and scapegoats. Shuster should have known better than to insult Hillary in the midst of a campaign crisis.

Interesting, how Clinton's opponent, called the comment "deplorable" while some of you think it is okay.

 

I guess that I am censuring my high school students too much, because I would not let them use any phrase that refers to "pimping" someone out, yet it is not a big deal for news anchors to use it.

Shuster meant what he said in the context of how he said it. He did not mean it "to upgrade a vehicle" or "showy". Does Sen. Clinton have a right to be upset about it? Yes. Should Shuster be suspended for it? Not if it isn't a pattern. He apologized. Reprimand and go on.

 

And yes...you all would have had something to say had it been the Bush twins that the comment was made about.

Shuster used the phrase metaphorically and in no way did he intend for his words to be taken literally. It was ridiculous to react to the comment as if Shuster had stated, "Chelsea is a prostitute and her mother is a pimp." Such a pronouncement would indeed have been reprehensible and deserving of a swift dismissal.

 

The Clinton campaign's outrage is as phony as Hillary's assertion that Bill was the victim of a vast right wing conspiracy. Conservative talk show hosts are busy attacking Republican candidates, so Hillary's camp is turning on their own. It is a foolish strategy that is backfiring. There is no upside for a politician biting the hands that feed them.
