The Redw would be pretty stupid to make that deal, to trade 3 of their top 4 prospects, and 3 of the top 50 in the nation, and another. Maybe worth one of the three and another lower tier one.

I'd love to see Joe playing for the Reds.

Do the A's need a power hitting left fielder that can't play defense? Course the Reds could thrown in the error prone, cry baby at 3rd base too. :lol:

No way the Reds should do this. Bailey and may both be better.

 

Is 14-10, 3.95, a career 42-34, 4.10 ERA really worth giving up the farm for? Homer could easily put up those or better numbers this year.

There is no way I would do that deal. I would like to get Blanton though. Didn't he play at UK? I know he has/had a place in Louisville.

He pitched at a very pitcher friendly park. Check out his splits, much worse on the road.

Apparently the A's are asking for 2 out of these 3 guys. Homer Bailey, Johnny Cueto, or Joey Votto. And I don't see the Reds giving up that for Blanton.
