I am going to Hilton Head in May with the soon to be Mrs (well she will be the Mrs by then) and I am wondering if any BGP'ers have any tips on what to do or checkout. We have not been there before so I am looking online for good places to eat and fun things to do to make it a great trip. I hear they have great golf but she makes me look like Tiger on the links so she said no to that. Any suggestions??

I have never been but my brother and his wife went a few years ago and they said that it's wonderful. The one thing they said that you needed lots of is.....................MONEY...

I'm not to happy about it either. I could play a round by myself but that's not much fun.

Went there on our honeymoon a million years ago. Stop by a grocery, spend all day at the beach and grill out in the evening. Take some good music along the way.

It is our honeymoon as well!!

Well, then you will not have a problem! We went in October, too cold to swim, but yet we had a great time! No kidding, after almost 30 years, never underestimate the power of grilling out with a bottle of wine and a movie or two!

Harbor town is fun to visit, but very expensive. Rent a bike to go up and down. Would recommend that for sure.

Have a great time and let us know how it turns out.

Like the above poster said, Harbourtown is great and the bikes are a must. Get your grocery's before you get on the Island. Its my favorite place to vacation. Lots of good places to eat.

Harbourtown is a lot of fun. The bar/restaurant looking over the golf course is fun to have a drink at. If it's your honeymoon I probably can't be much help though.

At one time the bar part of that restaurant had my reciept on the wall. They were impressed with what 3 guys and a girl from KY could do to a bar tab.

There is a very good wings place but I can't recall the name of it . Its in the Coligny area.

Rita's is a must for dessert.

The best thing about HH is you just hang out and relax, sleep, "fill in the blank with your favorite euphemism", and eat.
