I heard Pollster Scott Rasmussen say based on his experience talk radio personalities don't cause many people to change their opinions but they can influence the activity of those who already share their opinions.

I also thought that Obama's comment about Romney running an ineffective campaign was rather classless. There was no need to take a shot at someone who had already been vanquished and represented no threat to Obama.

Why do people consider Rom and Huck to be strong Conservatives? Based on their records as Governors, I do not.

I think Romney is as about as close to conservative then the others.

McCains record for sure is not conservative.

What happens to Romney's delegates? Are they free to go to whichever candidate they wish?

Romney came a long way.. He made a good run. The Republican Party is split right now -is not together.

I look for Romney to reemerge at a later date and time to run again.

And I'm not criticizing him at all, just pointing out that on issues, other than social matters, Huck's no more of a conservative, actually probably less, than McCain on economic and military issues I think.

If he is elected, McCain would not need to rely on anybody else before using his veto pen and shutting down the government (if necessary) until Congress either complied with his demands or overrode his veto.

 

As far as I know, McCain is the only remaining candidate to make this promise and it is likely to help him among conservatives. I expect that he will begin challenging the other candidates to take the same pledge.

An ironic thing that is forgotten in the claims of budget surpluses of the Clintons? It took the Republicans helping to shut down the government to get to those surpluses.

 

Still aggravates me that GW became a spend, spend, spend person.:mad:

You can't have that. Dems have already reserved the use of it for at least the next decade. Perhaps longer, as I think it will have the same blame shelf life as Bill Clinton, and he's still going strong as a patsy for GOPers.
