The Highlands and Beechwood football teams are being honored for the next 2 weeks on Fountain Square in Cincinnati. They are flying both the schools flags over the Square for 2 weeks. On Saturday they will be showing both teams Highlight tapes on the large LCD screens. They will begin with Beechwoods highlight at 12 noon, followed by Highlands at approximately 12:45.

Pretty awsome!:banana::banana::banana:

If your going to watch the Highland's highlight tape you better pack your lunch because it's about 2.5 hrs. long! Have fun and enjoy, it truly was a great season!

Probably explains why Beechwoods is first.

Is that a left handed dig?

Absolutely!

Congratulations to both schools. Thanks to Cincinnati for honoring both teams.

Do ya think NKY would honor St. X and Anderson? I say we leave that up to Covington. That sounds like something for the west side of the Licking to take care of.

Well my friend if this was called THE GREATER COVINGTON AREA, I am sure they would feel obliged to honor all the champions in the area. This is for the boys, not a border war! Maybe we should stop spending our money in Cincy! and if were thinking that way, stop using our airport!

I think the Cinti folks want you to buy your lunch downtown. Heck, if I wasn't going to be out of town Saturday, I'd buy you lunch. I was watching the Highlands flag fluttering in the wind from my office yesterday. It looked great.

And it is nice of the Cinti folks to recognize the two N. Ky teams.

:thumb: Yep, I would agree. I am sure it is part of an overall campaign to get people to come back to the downtown area. Nothing wrong with that.

It would have been nice if the folks at Newport on the Levy had thought of it first, but regardless, it is an honor.

Oh my goodness, honoring state champions from independent public schools in another state?

I don't recall any signs or flags in Jefferson County when Jeffersonville won a basketball title. Of course, the only way schools across the bridge from Louisville in Southern Indiana get into the state football finals at Indianapolis is to ........wait for it........buy a ticket. :sssh::devil::banana:

AWESOME!!! I'll have to check it out!

Hopefully the highlight tape is scaled down to Football highlights only. Why would we want people to know how we get sooooooo strong and soooooo fast!!! If you ever wanted to know what goes on inside Highlands Football, you are about to find out. Well at least a little bit what goes on.

If they were going to cut it short, I have no idea how much of the tape they will show, (All or short version), I would suggest they use part 2 of the tape. Featuring Cris and the boys and ending with State.
