Why would he be on oxycodone?

Don't know but that stuff is horrible. I have never seen a drug that can be taken for such a short period of time and have such a EVIL affect on people.

He was on two pain meds (including oxycontin which is only supposed to be used for severe cancer pain). Two anti-anxiety drugs (Xanax and Ativan) and two sleeping pills.

No legitimate doctor would ever prescribe that combination of meds. He must have been "doctor shopping" which is all too easy. Get different meds from different doctors and take whatever you want.

At best a person could safely take HALF of those meds. Hard to believe a healthy young person needs ANY of them.

I guess people forget how Elvis left us.

“acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine,”

My question is were all these prescribed for him, and how many different doctors prescribed them?

He could have gotten them each from individual doctors however what I have learned/seen it takes as little as one for this to happen.

You don't get that combination of drugs from one doctor.

Is that the same thing as Oxycontin?

Want to make a bet??? I'll pm you!!
ANY one doctor who prescribes that many drugs, in that combination, to one patient then he is criminally negligent and should face prosecution in addition to the loss of his license.

Really, thank goddness I was smarter than the average bear to figure that out! Actually good ole' TD has helped two doctors lose their license for stuff like this.
