  1. 1. On the day after 9/11 what did you think?

    • Once in a life time event, never happen again.
    • Thought another attack was imminent.
    • Was sure we would be attacked again within the next year.

How many of you on the day after 9/11 would have thought that in Jan. 2008 there would not have been another terrorist attack on US soil? I do not know one person that would taken a bet on that. While not perfect by any strech of the imagination "W" has to get some credit for this fact.

For those of you that want to say it wasn't because of him all I'll ask is did you originally blame him for the attacks? If you did then you have to give him his props.

I honestly didn't know what to think. But I don't give credit to "W" for anything other than getting us into a Middle Eastern Quagmire of gargantuan, epic proportions, enormous debt and increased danger for our allies on their soil.

I thought all you guys believed Bush CAUSED 9/11 or at least allowed it to happen so the 'fat cats' could get the oil? And caused Hurricane Katrina?? And Notre Dame's football season???

No...I didn't think W casued the attacks. Frankly, the situation has been brewing for decades....I don't blame the attacks on W, I blame the attacks on America, and a host of attitudes, actions and proclivities that have incited the hatred toward us.

Don't forget saving lives of unborn babies by signing into law the partial birth abortion bill.

I would vote for him again if he could guarantee that Notre Dame would struggle each and every one of the next 8 years.:thumb::dancingpa

We don't have to do anything for them to hate us. At least as long as we are friends with Israel.

Off set, in my mind, by the thousands of innocent lives of Iraqi citizens killed over the course of this war, and the apparently less important lives of our soldiers.

I have always felt that since 9/11 that an attack will happen again, but I have never felt it would happen anytime soon. Like with Pearl Harbor it will happen again when we least expect it.

You blame the attacks on the 9/11 on America? Any of us in particular or all of us, because I am pretty sure that I have never done anything to upset any of the peace loving Muslim extremist that attacked our country on that day.

And while RM you may choose not to give the President any credit for no new attacks on our country, from reading many of your post on here I feel he would be the first person that you would blame if another attack occurred. Tell me that you would not be all over the President if there was another attack saying that he failed in doing something to prevent it. If that is true then conversely you must give the current administration credit for no new attacks.

I do not think the reason that we have not been attacked is due to them suddenly having a change of heart, do any of you. While I do agree an attack could happen at any time as of now it has not and I am thankful.

Good Job "W" :thumb:

I don't think anybody was sure of what to expect in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. With two successful attacks and a third thwarted attack, I think most Americans were holding their breath for a few days. As we later learned, the attacks were in the making over a five-year period. There could just as easily been ten more attacks because our government was asleep at the switch.

This is the one area that I do give President Bush a great deal of credit. Unfortunately, both parties seem determined not to impede the influx of illegal immigrants into this country and those illegals could just as easily be Islamo-fascists as Mexicans or Guatemalans.
