I am a Romney guy by default - an anti-McCain guy would be a more accurate description. A McCain presidency would devastate the Republican Party.

He was widely considered a favorite heading into the race... What does he do? He banks his entire hopes on Florida and basically disappears. What a moron.

...and did you hear that John McCain served in Vietnam as well? I commend McCain for his honorable service, but I condemn him his for his dishonorable behavior in the US Senate. Being a POW does not provide a person lifetime immunity from criticism.

 

Republicans who support John McCain will eventually regret their decision. Hopefully, McCain will never become president. He has done enough damage in his 25 years in the US Senate.

If the Republican Party wants widespread Republican support, then the party heavyweights should not work so hard to secure the nomination for a RINO. It is amazing that the Rockefeller wing of the party (i.e., Romney) is now considered ultra conservative.

If the people voting for McCain are the ones that are securing the nomination for him, how is that the party heavyweights? It is not like these are superdelegates putting him in the place of the party nomination.

I could care less what anyone thinks of any candidate. My issue with your post is you claiming that McCain's father and grandfather somehow got him a favorable duty after graduation. This isn't a case of pulling strings to get into the National Guard during Vietnam. The man went, got beaten daily, and NEVER once denounced the United States of America to his lowlife captors.
